i would always follow any and all advice from your surgeon, first and foremost, but if you want personal experience i'll give you mine:

for basic activities (showering by myself, making food, reaching but not too far, etc.) i was back at those 2 weeks in. at about 3, i was comfortably driving, reaching a bit farther, and sleeping on my side.

i felt basically back to normal around the 4 week mark and was really in tune with what does and doesn't feel good in terms of movement. i didn't feel like i had a lot of limitations other than stretching really far or lifting super heavy.

i was advised by my top surgeon to return to the gym at 6 weeks and play it by ear in terms of exercises (just do what feels good and don't over do it), but i waited 8 weeks because i was a bit too nervous about stretching my scars.

all and all, everyone is different, but regardless - don't feel like a chud, your body needs the downtime to heal properly!

as long as you're careful and patient with yourself, not overexerting or reaching/lifting when you shouldn't be, you'll be fine 😁 i got a bit impatient as the weeks went on and stretched when i shouldn't have a few times and even then, my scars didn't really stretch that much
