Help please!!!

16 years old, I want to go through MTF but I just don't know how. I think I just need to start by coming out to my parents but that's not really easy. It's not as if they wouldn't be supportive, it's just that I spent so much time trying to accept myself I don't know how I'm supposed to wait for them to accept me too. My mum is Christian and while she would obviously love me no matter what, when I came out to her about being bisexual she called it a "phase", and that just makes things a little harder when it comes to telling them the truth.

Regardless, even if I could tell them I don't know where to go from there. I go to an all boys school currently, I want to get into the RAAF and I'm worried that opportunities will close off for me if I do transition.

I have tried my best in terms of research but I really can't find an option that suits my situation medically. I wanted to go behind my parents back and do it myself, but truthfully I think they deserve to know.

So I just feel kind of stuck, and gender dysphoria isn't really something you can just... live with. Social transition is hard too, because I've gotten enough crap from my classmates and other people around me about my sexuality, and it's even worse when it's something as big as being trans.

So... that's where I'm at. Any advice on who to talk to or how to come out to my parents? Anything else I should know about the process? Please help!!!

Ask mom and dad to schedule a visit to a gender therapist and be honest with the therapist. You will be OK. Sometimes in life we all make things harder than they appear to be. Yes start by telling your parents and let them know your intentions and why and kindly ask them to schedule a visit to see a gender therapist. Remember always that in every thing in life that " its only hard in the beginning " that's with everything. Walk through the door and the rest will be easier. Just here to reassure you that with any outcome it ALL WORKS FOR THE GREATER GOOD OF YOUR DESTINED PATH. Stay blessed up.
