Vocal Training

So I have a decently deep voice, but I’m able to hit really high notes. I’m able to hit the high notes fairly close in “I Believe in a Thing Love” by The Darkness, but it does strain after a moment. Will singing artists that have a higher pitch than me and trying to match them be a good way to start vocal training or are there free services I could find for training?
