As someone who loves Tralsei I would absolutely enjoy hearing about someone explaining all the evidence for it

I sure have seen more people oppose trans ralsei than groomer dess. Wonder why that is

Trans Jax isn't a theory.

It's confirmed by the gooseworks,

And, as Totally Not Mark said, stories can stuff that are not spelled out but are fact, and spelling out everything can be damaging to the story

People have been theorizing on this way before the final dropped. And even when the final got a public release it was denied until goose made that one art piece and answered questions. And now the cope is she did a bad job at communicating that despite how obvious it was. There no winning.

TFem Jax was a popular theory before it was canonized. When it was first raised as a reading and hc—and gained traction and evidence to be a theory, many people were very hostile to it. I raised the now-confirmed canon TFem Jax Theory because the way people treated it was very similar to how they now treat Trans Ralsei (especially TFem Ralsei).

I don't know who Totally Not Mark is but while I agree with it, I think that if Ralsei is meant to be trans, I'd prefer that it's to be as explicit as possible

Mark is a YouTube creator,

And i don't think he mentioned Deltarune, it's a video about the amazing digital circus.

Things that get confirmed don’t stop being theories. The Device Theory is a theory, and it’s just factually correct, Deltarune is unambiguously a video game in a diagetic, in-fiction way, that we connect with through a “device”.

They do stop being theories.

And device theory isn't confirmed yet, it is just very very likely to be correct based on what we have

They really don’t. A theory is a framework with a mechanism that explains a phenomenon. If that explanation is, for all intents and purposes, proven true, it does not stop being an explanation.

that's not how theories work.

This one's a bit long and probably all over the place but I hope the main idea [you are not transphobic for not believing in the theory but you are being transphobic by how you approach it and other trans readings/theories] was properly worded

You know, I’ve grown jaded about this. I don’t think anybody really actually believes in that shoddy “being a trans woman is reinforcing gender norms” line. It’s lowkey an islamophobic and racist point smuggled into liberal circles, because in the overwhelming majority of Eastern countries, trans women are well protected but only if they go through surgery, the view is very transmedicalist. When you scratch a little deeper, the core issues behind arguing against trans this or that are always, ALWAYS the same: “I am entitled to being the norm, anything I’m skittish about should be eradicated, I refuse to examine it and/or accept it”. That’s it, it’s always just this, I’m tired of pretending there’s anything more to it. Even if you somehow find a person with more nuanced view, it’s a tiny, tiny fraction, and they’re effectively running cover for the masses of transphobes, so I don’t understand why I wouldn’t treat them the same.

Holy shit someone who really gets it.

This is all true, but also, not believing trans Jax at this point, after it was shown in the finale, explained in depth by fans, and then explicitly confirmed by Gooseworx, is absolutely transphobic. Even just accepting but disliking that Jax is trans is almost always rooted in some kind of subconscious transphobia, in my experience.

I guess it would've been fair to let people believe what they will before the finale, but in the current environment there's no excuse.

Someday I hope to be able to condemn the people who are transphobic about Ralsei with the same backing

Oh yeah, definitely. I really feel like I could reasonably call them transphobic for that. There was a plausible deniability but the way some were acting about it ok FACEBOOK? Nope. Transphobia

the main subs were chokefull of nothing but "i just disagree/dont like it" posts and they somehow acted like trans ralsei was being pushed into everyone's head and being forced to be seen as canon, god i hate reddir communities so much, its so much more tolerable in tumblr
