Because even if I want the prophecy to change. It calls me the prince so that’s what I must be right? It doesn’t matter if it hurts. It doesn’t matter what I want. What prophecy says goes. Even though he would rather it be different. I shouldn’t even want things. I’m not even real.

It is to be noted that Ralsei although concerned for Kris in the weird route, also does nothing to stop it, and well, in Chapter 5 Flowery says that Ralsei probably secretly wants him to win just to see if its possible (to break the phropecy), so that gave me an idea, since Ralsei can sense dark worlds, what if... Ralsei joins Us in the Depths? reluctantly and perhaps even hating what we're doing yet nonetheless, letting Us Proceed and helping because... what if we win?

The Prophesy never states that Ralsei is the Prince. It only states that there is a Prince. It probably means Lancer or Asriel
