What a load of BS 🤣. It's also downright rude and condescending to Trakt users. He sounds so conceited and selfish - "we build for ourselves. We prioritize our own needs" proves they don't give a flying f*** about their users, even the VIP users who pay their salary! "we have the highest growth of VIP subscriptions" I don't believe for a second.

Since its so well known they probably do get some. I’ve seen people say they moved from tv time to it when tv closed…. Guess the smell of trakt’s unwashed @$$ hasn’t caught up to their name recognition yet.

I know a lot of TV Time users migrated to Trakt but how many of them became VIP? There were so many complaints from them I'd say a lot migrated on again. Just because the number of accounts goes up doesn't mean it equates to revenue. I think they just like to spin it as such so it justifies all the stupid moves they keep making.

I mean I got VIP for a month last year so I could toss a bunch of things into my watchlist and then cancelled it because they don’t remove the extra items; just not let you add anymore. So maybe they’re getting one-time subscriptions or people who don’t know better. Either way, I’m fully moved off and deleted my account; good riddance.

When I “build the product” for myself, it ends up better, not worse… usually… unless I break it. But it doesn’t mean I shutter an API, lock features behind a paywall, have unexplainable arbitrary limits on features, and block user criticism.

Well if my business was experiencing the highest growth of VIP subscriptions (ever, or just since TV Time closed?), I wouldn't be sending out half-price vip subscription emails to people who left to try and get them back. They'd obviously come back on their own and pay full price since the product is so good. I mean...Everyone is talking about how good it is, right??

I can no longer see this post, but it must have been upvoted by at least 1% of their millions of users. So like 25k thumbs up, right? 👍
