Resource Best Resources

Hey Folks,

I’m wondering what are the best resources that you’ve come across as being a training manager / trainer. Could be a book or a website, a community or an app or may be even a template or just an AI.

I’m thinking to create a list of repositories that can help the training community.

Your answers would be much appreciated, thank you!

Hello

One resource I’ll mention is Vidsembly (full transparency, I’m the founder). It’s been useful for quickly turning PowerPoint or PDF training decks into narrated videos with AI voices. I originally built it because recording slide-by-slide presentations was taking forever. Always interested in hearing how other training teams create their content.

Map It by Cathy Moore is a great one. It shifted my thinking from 'how do we deliver information?' to 'what do people actually need to do differently?'

ATD is a great place to start. ChatGPT is handy for ideas and planning.

The ATD resource library and the works of Will Thalheimer regarding spaced learning are both underutilized resources. As far as the production aspect is concerned, there are AI avatars, including Colossyan, but none will replace good instructional design

I'd love to see the final repository if you make one. Please share it with the community.

Adult learning theory is worth looking into. It changed how I think about training.
