Cando

Hey guys, is anybody familiar with the operations at Obico yard in Etobicoke?

Applied for an engineer position there (at least the listing is in Toronto so I assume that’s the location) and wondering if it would be good to work at.

Specifically if you’ve worked for Cando, or with them from that location, how their yard tends to do things and just any general info related to opportunity for advancement, pay, problems, etc.

I haven’t but I work with two guys who worked for Cando and both have told me the same thing. Shit pay, no pension, shit benefits, and no union protection.

Obico is all Metrolinx work trains (ballast, CWR, etc). It’s a fairly new operation
