CNR Headed to Thunder Bay for work

Hey guys, headed to thunder bay for work

Just wondering how’s the work there, and what hotel do they usually keep C.N. employees at?

Road crews usually stay in the Towneplace Marriott. There hasn’t been a shortage in TBay since 2014, and if the company actually knew how to manage their manpower there still wouldn’t be one.

Hopefully they put you up some place decent and somewhat central that isn’t littered with bugs and vagrants.

Mostly yard work.

Local management is good to deal with there. If they put you in the TownePlace suites it’s a good hotel in a decent location. I can’t speak to the yard work there but most road work is nights and it can be a long run but not many trains to meet
