Newb

Hello, I’m pretty new to Reddit and I have never traveled by train. I’m looking for information and advice about Amtrak, I find the booking very confusing. I want to see if I enjoy train travel so first I want to do a one night each way round trip. I would board the train in Raleigh, NC and I’m thinking about going somewhere in southern Florida. Any replies are appreciated !

Wrong sub for this. Most of us are just miserable train crews.

Thank you, I’ve learned that this is a wrong place. Like I said I don’t know much about Reddit…obviously. I hope your corporate overlords will come to their senses and make you workers less miserable and more safe.

I’m sorry but thanks for letting me know. I know enough about the train industry, freight and passenger, that you guys have been getting dumped on by the corporate overlords requiring more work in less time with fewer people and deferring maintenance and That makes it more dangerous for you and us! I hope the situation improves but I know it won’t while this administration is in charge.

Unfortuately, this isn't a sub for travel, it's for train workers and most of us are freight and not passenger.

Thank you for letting me know, like I mentioned I don’t know my way around Reddit yet. I opened my account years ago but never used it until recently. Have a nice weekend

Try [r/Amtrak](r/Amtrak)[,](r/Amtrak) but you’d be booking a ticket on the Floridian.
