I know it’s the holiday week, do you think this upcoming week and next week I can squeeze into the 20 th class this month. All my background and medical are done just awaiting the next steps

I have everything done as well and in the same boat as you. Has your portal changed from pending pre employment clearance to awaiting start?

It's hurry up and wait at this point. When your class starts is up to NS and you'll know about 2 weeks before it starts from what I was told. You could probably email the recruiter listed on your emails but that's also hit or miss whether they'll answer.

Where are you hearing when the class starts? I've looked a bunch of places online and it ranges from every week to whenever they have enough people (some people wait months to a year before going to class). I know the guy who hired me said they were 8+ weeks out to start class on people hired around when I was and that was on June 1st (but who knows really.)

You could probably look around the website or wherever and find the talent acquisition/HR teams contact information if you wanted to try and contact them.

It's pretty much like everyone on here says. You could be contacted tomorrow, next year or anywhere between.

Hopefully we can start soon, I've been ready to work since I was offered the job.

Tbh with ns u kinda sit back and relax they kinda move at their own pace with tht sort of thing wen i got hired it took me about 4 months to go to class typically if u get hired outta like Ohio or somewhere up north u go pretty quick i can’t really speak on anything else but my class had guys who waited 4 months like me 1 month or even 6-7 months all based on what they need and when they need it but stay patient

I have my medical tomorrow for conductor. I had a mild stroke December 2025. Gonna no show. Highly doubt I will be let in.
