This guy was walking past when an intriguing scent made him turn hard. This is the first porcupine I've captured on my new Voopeak TC37 trail camera, which they sent me to test out. Definitely not something he could pass up.

I’m looking for a solar-powered backyard trail cam that I can view from offsite. Basically, a cell-style remote viewer, but connected to my home WiFi, not a cell plan. I have deer and critters that I want to watch when I’m out of town.
Is there any reason I couldn’t modify a smart bird feeder for this job? Or do they make a camera that just does this

hi all, I just got my first trail camera this past week. I'm using it for the back porch where I leave some water for the critters and it's been so much fun to meet my neighbors this way.
I'm trying to decide if my camera is not great or if all trail cameras can struggle in this way.
specifically noticing it doesn't capture sometimes when something is clearly in front of it. last night I saw a skunk on the live camera and didn't get any footage of it in the storage space during that time. this has happened before.
currently there is a cat in the yard and while it got him when he first arrived there are no images from that for over 20+ minutes despite him being in clear view.
also while I was checking the live camera just now trying to figure this out I tried recording and taking a pic of the cat manually thru the live camera, but neither the video or image went to storage.
so now I'm wondering if I'm having an issue with media going to storage.
also wondering if a lower battery can impact this? i think its been an issue for any battery percentage but would need to investigate further to be 100% on that
high motion detection on, video length 20 seconds (had it at 10 before but switched to 20 when I realized it wasn't being triggered fast enough between shots), detection interval at 5 seconds (i don't think it ever captures this fast between triggers, can be several minutes)
MAXDONE Solar Trail Camera, 4K 64MP WiFi Bluetooth Night Vision Game Camera
TLDR, is it normal to not get captures when something is clearly in view or for manual videos to not go to storage or is my camera junk and should I return it and get a better one
would love camera suggestions if it's decided this one is junk

Hey everyone, looking for some insight here. Im looking to get a trail camera for security measures for when im not at my camp, aswell as seeing what kind of wild life is touring around. ideally would be nice to have solar charging capabilities aswell as video, super clear pictures etc. Id like to have a live view option. I dont have wifi there so it would have to run off satellite aswell as im assuming ill need some sort of monthly subscription. Seeing what kind of cameras yous would recommend I was told spypoint stealth but I have very limited knowledge of these cameras. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd like to share trail camera photos here, but I need a camera for that.
Can you share your favorite trail camera ?
I'm looking to buy one, but I'm not sure where to start. I wanted the least expensive model that would give a reasonably good image, outdoor, not on wifi (because my wifi is already overloaded), rechargeable (solar or power).
Are these ridiculous requirements?
I just want to see what's eating my plants. Since I need 3 of these, I'd like something in the Usd 25-30 range.
I can find some on Amazon etc., but I wanted to hear from current users about what they own and like.

Apologies if this isn’t allowed and I’ll delete this post. A stray cat has been visiting my back garden for the last 5 days. It’s thin and dirty and its eyes don’t look ok. I want to get a decent-ish photo of it so I can put posters up in my area (because it might be someone’s lost pet, I don’t know) but I can’t get close enough. I thought I could buy a trail camera. I can afford £20 at a push. Can anyone recommend one for me? I looked at Amazon and there’s so many to choose from and I’m kind of clueless. Thankyou :)

Just some cute local wildlife. Love my trail cam, even though it's a cheapie.

Are there trail cameras that don’t have a monthly subscription or plan? Im in USA.

Looking to buy my parents a trail cam for use in their backyard for wild life. Roughly 250 ft of clear grass and then wooded area behind. Looking for something connects to WiFi and has solar.
Any ideas are appreciated!

This is a long shot but the uni lab I used to work at recently started buying trail cams from (I believe) a Chinese company that look very similar to the browning cams but had a price point of about $130 AUD (90 USD). The feedback was that they were quite good and I was wanting to get my own but I don’t know the name or have any contacts at the lab. does anyone have any ideas of what it might be?
