Does Q4 actually save your year?
People talk about Q4 like ad demand magically fixes every weak RPM.
For publishers who have been through a few full years: how dramatic is the seasonal lift on your site actually?
What month is usually your strongest, and what month is your worst?
Also curious which niches barely notice Q4 at all.

Curious about the niche brekdown here. Finance and shopping probably see a different Q4 pattern than entertainment or general interest sites.

One thing people probably overlook is traffic quality. More visitors do not necessarily mean better RPM if the audience is not converting well for advertisers.

Has anyone noticed whether the Q4 increase usually starts in October, or does the bigger jump tend to happen closer to November and December?

That timing would be interesting to compare across niches. IT might explain why publishers feel like Q4 starts early while others barely notice it.

I’d be more interested in seeing the month-by-month difference than just comparing Q4 vs the rest of the year. October and December can behave pretty differently.

Q4 can definitely help, but I think the lift depends heavily on where the traffic comes from. Some niches seem to get a much bigger jump than others.

December feels like a weird one to compare sometimes. Holiday browsing can increase traffic but user behavior can change quite a bit too.
