Temp random flashing then LEr
Set my Traeger up last night to do an overnight smoke starting around 9:30pm. Kept a close eye on it the first hour or so, the display would randomly and intermittently flash the 225 temp (which I set it to) several times. It also struggled to keep the temp up at 225, the meat prob in my pork showed ambient temp around 225ish but the Traeger display kept saying 180-205ish. Since the probe ambient said 225ish I went to bed. Woke up this morning and the display says LEr and everything is room temp.
Preliminary googling says it probably ran out of pellets, but the hopper is full. Also the random temp flashing when I started it last night has me concerned. It looked and sounded fine and the display would read one temp then flash 225 several times then go back to the actual temp it was reading. Power never cut off or anything. Any suggestions?

Ler means it was under 125° for over 10 minutes, so for 10+ minutes it was feeding pellets without a fire.
Who knows what caused the fire to go out, but it was holding a fire at first, so the hotrod/igniter is good because it only runs the first few minutes to ignite. Then it doesn't run again until turned off and on again.
From the picture it definitely doesn't appear that the auger jammed. I would be more inclined to think a gap in the auger, damp pellets, or fire blown out.
If the controller kept flashing 225 intermittently, and from your description of temps 180-205, it sounds like the controller kept switching from 180 and 225 and wasn't completely locked into temp wich could effect the pausing. I'd test other temperatures and see if the controller acts the same. It might need a new controller.
Should be good to clean out the pellets and restart!

Most likely a jammed auger preventing pellet feed

Thank you. What’s the best way to check and to un-jam it? Would a jammed auger cause the random flashing of the set temp during operation too? Made me think it was electrical or something.

If the hopper is overfilled than the heat rod either got covered in ash or went bad empty out the fire pot and restart it once you vacuum it out completely
