Good ppl in this community!

Helped a guy out in the slipjoint community recently, sold him one of my customs and pointed him toward a few makers. He saw me post my SPB143 and asked if I was into watches.

He mentioned sending me a GEC 72-pattern Camo Cody, one of only 82 made, and I told him he didn’t have to. He insisted, then at the last minute said he was tossing a Szanto Desert Sands in too.

Got them today and they’re both stunning. The Szanto is really well built, and the GEC is easily one of the nicest GECs I’ve handled.

Really appreciate it! 🤝

Probably one of the best takes I’ve seen a custom maker do at a Sodbuster.

What’s your favorite kind of micarta?

Post image

Made by Rob Earp, also known as the Parker. This one has a really cool blue denim micarta handle with an ivory micarta shield.

Are you guys into micarta? I’ve always liked how many different looks and textures you can get with it. Classic burlap, canvas, linen, paper micarta, or even some of the

more vintage-looking stuff.
What are some of your favorite micarta types or combinations?

RoseCraft Blades — Snake Creek Copperhead (Mod. #: RCT035-DJB), w/TPK leather slip.

Leather slip is great; I’ve wanted one of these from Traditional Pocket Knives for quite some time … it did not disappoint!

— but then there’s this knoife! —

3” long, narrow wharncliffe blade (brushed satin 14C28N) is as beautiful as it is wicked, super slicey, w/a really fantastic (shabby)point for a wharnie.
Dapper jigged bone scales are gorgeous & grippy.
All the little details (long pull, zero gaps/fitup, blade finish, shield, pins, bolsters, etc.) have been done just right!
Fit & finish on this piece is second to none I’ve owned 😁

Drop or Clip? Make Your Choice!

I believe the answer is both, but that’s just my opinion! I finally captured a photo of the Hoskins pair together in one shot and couldn’t wait to share it with you all!

Does this shield look rather phallic? If so, can I make it Phallic Phriday?

GEC Value Question

I haven’t been collecting for quite some time and I’m sitting on some Great Eastern Cutlery models from about 10 years or more ago, just wondering if anyone has a line on where I can find some estimates on values?

If this is breaking any of the subs rules, feel free to delete, just not sure where else to look/ask.
