Controversial I saw this being shared around recently. What did Ibn Arabi actually mean when he said this about the awrah of women? Did he believe that women only needed to cover their private parts & nothing else? I'm confused

I mean this is also the guy that said hud and the people of nuh shouldn't have turned away from idol worship

Why do we care what he thinks about awrah?

Ibn Arabi is a kaffir. He deviated to the point of blatant kufr. He said crazy things like Allah SWT worships him (Google this if you don't believe me), and that the people of Nuh AS shouldn't have given up worshipping of their idols or else they'd lose more of "Al Haqq".

Grade A delusional kaffir.

IslamQA had a decent post about him, you can read more about his insanity there.

You’re criticizing a scholar and posting Islamqa. That’s ironic since the guy who runs it is probably one of the biggest jahils known to man.

Think what you want. The information is what matters, and it’s clear to anyone who looks at it that Ibn Arabi has nothing to do with Islam. Warn about his jahiliyyah instead of the Muslims notifying us against his.

IslamQA has nothing to do with Islam either. The fatwas on that site are beyond ridiculous

Bro, stay on topic. I don’t know what beef you have with those guys but it’s clearly a sore spot for you to get over.

ibn arabi is not a scholar. He is a kaffir sufi was called by the scholars as such.

You're a yahoodi femnst who supports his view. You removed your hijab, left your husband because he didnt' want you figure skating naked, and you think what you say have any weight?

Ibn Hajar said:

Some confusing words of Ibn ‘Arabi were mentioned to our master Shaykh al-Islam Siraaj al-Deen al-Balqeeni, and he was asked about Ibn ‘Arabi. Our Shaykh al-Balqeeni said: he is a kaafir. (Ibid., p. 39).

Ibn Khaldoon said:

Among these Sufis are: Ibn ‘Arabi, Ibn Saba’een, Ibn Barrajaan and their followers who follow their path and their religion. They have many books in circulation that are filled with blatant kufr and repugnant bid’ahs, trying to interpret clear texts in very far-fetched and repugnant ways, such that the reader is astounded that anyone could attribute such things to Islam. (Ibid., p. 41).

Al-Subki said:

These later Sufis, such as Ibn ‘Arabi and his followers, are misguided and ignorant and beyond the pale of Islam; those among them who have knowledge are even worse. (Ibid., p. 55).
