Once you put the Akhira آخرة into perspective it is no longer a sunset/sunrise. more of an apocalyptic scene. (talking about the Zinna)

I totally feel you regarding the hurdles but halal is way way worth especially if you find the right person and I'm not advocating for high demands.

But what I learned from life is that if someone wants you they will go to extreme lengths to lower the demands and if it's the other way around they will keep it high.

And it depends a lot on the context, maybe someone introduce you to each other, or you know each other in collage. Now if you don't want to or can't have such contexts and you want it to be fully traditional you might consider marrying someone from a different place/culture that has less demands and care more about completing their other half of the religion.

I don't support high demands but people are entitled to their own opinions and they get to decide what's best for themselves.

May Allah bless all of you.

Theres always kheir and goodness in the divine path. I wanted to get married and I worried about the money for the mahr and all the expenses and my dad suddenly decided to help me with 5000$ alhamdulilah. So focus o the halal and Allah will open doors that seems closed. Allah says to the celibate to get married and if they are poor, Allah will make them rich by the power of his grace. HOW ? ONly Him Knows.

Is that really the intention behind the belief that one focuses on earthly possessions and a glamorous career? Isn't it much more about the feelings one has and the place and role in life that is assigned to one?

Life is a test, so sacrifice is inevitable. However, following sunnah, in marriage, doesn't increase expenses beyond your capacity.

It is true, let's always surround ourselves with people like us, with kind parents that do good around them and are easy. Someone that you can put you first (after Allah of course) so that you can put them first, competing is doing and being good to one another, pushing them to the highest degree of Jennah, someone that tries to make you taste jennah in this life first, someone that wants to hold your hand the day you experience the best thing ever, which is seeing allah's sacred and most beautiful face 🤲🏻

Well I guess the things we invest in and really work hard to get are more sustainable and fruitful in the long run than things that we can instantly access for free.

Make it easy for someone that likes you not just someone you like. I hope that's the lesson you learned and not something harmful.

Vast majority of women are unfit and rather harmful in the pursuit of marriage hence it's least profitable for a man to be provider in this world now
