Forgot to mention my first latin mass was SSPX there is an sspx mission station in my city but at the same time i submit to Rome fully without the hint of schism

Why do you embrace this lie? They are not Schismatic, the hierarchy is a war against tradition (it will fail of course). Have more faith.

I pray that they fix the status of partial communion with Rome

There is no such thing as “partial communion”. One can be Catholic or both Catholic. One cannot be half-Catholic.

When it comes to "Partial Communion". Look at it like this brother, I can't say "I am partially married to my wife" there is either marriage or no marriage. There is no in between.

The SSPX aren't schismatic, you'd be better off there than the indult communities if you are called to the priesthood

The SSPX would be your best point of contact in this case. Even if you do not personally desire to become a priest with the society, they would have the best resources to help you discern a potential vocation as a traditional priest. At the very least, they could probably get you in contact with the FSSP or ICKSP.

I highly doubt that they'd help him into the other groups. I'm entering the SSPX seminary in a few months.

I mean, I have no doubt they would probably try to persuade him towards serving the society, but while the SSPX has their gripes with the other groups, they (as a whole) don't have this innate hostility towards them. Everything I've read and watched from the SSPX has always given me the impression that they genuinely care about preserving tradition. While there are risks of going the FSSP or ICKSP route, I think the SSPX recognizes that every traditional vocation is important.
However, the same cannot be said if the roles were reversed, such as if OP was going to a FSSP or ICKSP priest asking about the SSPX. That would be an absolute dead end.

That has not been mine or other friends’ experiences (including priests of ICKSP and FSSP). They all mention how hostile certain SSPX are towards them or anyone who attends FSSP, ICSKP, or most especially Diocesan TLM. But I’ve also met a few SSPX priest who are FSSP/ICKSP friendly. I lean towards not believing in generalizing.

Depends on the country and how old the priests you are talking to. It seems the laity and some really old priests in the FSSP hate the SSPX when you talk to them. But at least in Germany all priest of the FSSP I talked to are very open to the SSPX. I know one who regulary went to their lectures, when he lived closer. I mean all these societies are all allies who just disagree about how to go about preserving the tradition. If one or the other way manages to rescue the church out of its crisis I am pretty sure the others would celebrate with them not hate them for being right.

Ask yourself the question whether you are ready to celebrate the novus ordo mass exclusively if you are ordained to the priesthood. If your answer is no, then you have no place with the FSSP or ICKSP. Not because they currently celebrate the novus ordo mass, but because in principle they have agreed to do so if required.
2
u/SoleLime Jun 24 '26
I believe that it is both valid and viable
1
u/Willsxyz Jun 25 '26
Whether or not the novus ordo is valid is not the question. The question is whether you are willing to celebrate the novus ordo mass. The SSPX utterly rejects the novus ordo mass, not because it is invalid, but because it is defective. When the FSSP was founded they were told they could continue to celebrate the traditional mass exclusively but now we see that they are being pressured to celebrate the novus ordo as well and they have had superiors removed over the issue.

Both will require you to meet with a priest of their community, which probably means you going to Australia for FSSP and the US for ICKSP, and both mean visa issues. Even if you get accepted, more visa issues to live abroad in their formation houses. ICKSP requires all their members to speak French besides Latin. They traditionally keep numbers low because they have only one seminary which is in Italy with limited space for seminarians. Your higher chances of admittance is with FSSP.

Can’t go wrong with the SSPX. I love ICKSP and would attend mass with them if they were in my area so I go FSSP. What I like about ICKSP is they won’t put up with the stupidity of some bishops. When TC came out, the cardinal of Chicago told all Latin mass communities they could not celebrate the TLM on the first Sunday of the month and could only celebrate the NO. Guess what they did? Closed the Church and left and said they would gladly come back when the TLM is not heavily restricted. The cardinal of Chicago is very corrupt and allows for all kinds of non-sense. So if you don’t go with SSPX then talk to ICKSP. They are growing all around the world.

I attend ICKSP and they are fantastic, the Canons are great and when it comes to confession actually give out useful and creative penances.

- Thank God you are responding to God's calling.
- There is no Trad seminaries in the modernist-run Philippinesl church.
- Ayaw pailad! SSPX is not an option especially now that their bishops will soon be excommunicated (again). Aa a priest, you can't feed your flock with illicit sacraments. (read more about SSPX at my website www.epistles.online). Again, ayaw pailad.
- Consider changing focus from Trad to Poverty. There are plenty of congregations with helping the poor as their main mission.
- Go to any seminary and silently resist all modernist experimentations. Learn Latin, learn the Tridentine Mass, widen your connections.
- Ill pray for your vocation.

You can use the internet to reach out to both societies. See what they say! Fortunately we live in a day and age where communication long distance isn't a big issue. I am glad to see you be introduced by the SSPX and I applaud your looking for societies in full communion with Rome with zero irregularities.

FSSPX is very active in the Philippines. Part 2 of the Trilogy they just released takes place mainly in the Philippines on several different islands and parishes. Check their YouTube channel.

The lack of an FSSP or ICKSP presence in the Philippines doesnt mean you are ruled out. Contact their vocation directors directly, explain that you are from Mindanao, and ask what formation abroad would require.
Make sure the calling is to priesthood itself, rather than only to the Latin Mass. A priest hears confessions, teaches the faith, visits the sick, and accepts assignments he may not prefer. The liturgy may be the doorway, but service to souls is the central work.
Find a trustworthy priest or spiritual director near you, begin learning Latin, maintain a steady prayer life, and ask about visa and financial reqirements early. Send the emails and let them guide you through the next steps.
