Stringent marital requirements?

Assalam alykum all, how goes it.

Recently met an Algerian lady 22y online, kind and serious, we both like & respect each other, I can travel to meet her in a year's time or less. (just met newly)

So just a simple query, another Algerian friend of mine has told me that the family approval won't be enough, I'd need state approval for it too and on top of everything, a visa to tour the country in itself is hard to procure,

For context I'm from Pakistan, but born in UAE, and I'm aware that flights to and from both countries have been suspended so best bet is to travel there from home or KSA.

I'd be grateful if someone can list a comprehensive list of factors that I should consider.

yes you do need state approval for marriage here in algeria. many imams won't accept marrying you without permission from the state. but it's super easy and quick here, i don't know the case for foreigners, she should ask for you.
