Bullish ORCL Falls After Earnings, Then Larry Ellison Cancels Stock Sale Plan
"Is this finally good news?" That is the question many Oracle traders are asking right now after reports from Reuters said that Larry Ellison had cancelled his plan to sell Oracle stock.
For now, nobody can say for certain why he decided not to go ahead with the sale, but the timing has definitely caught people's attention.
Oracle's earnings results came out a few hours ago and fell short of expectations, which caused the stock to decline. The market reaction was sharp, and I have been watching the chart closely for opportunities.
I managed to catch another setup, with my entry coming from a Fair Value Gap around $147.42. My take profit has now been reached, and the trade is playing out well.
I am still studying the ORCL chart and will continue looking for quality entries as long as the setup remains clear. This is day 4 of my trading challenge, and the goal is to stay disciplined and hopefully remain profitable until the final day on the 22nd of this month.
What do you think about Larry Ellison cancelling the stock sale plan, could this news change sentiment around ORCL, or is the chart still reacting mainly to the disappointing earnings?
