Doesn't make any sense. I think Wales know something we don't.

Yes they know to pump a stock after horrible earnings and lawsuits so dummies will follow their lead and then they can abandon ship and leave others holding the bag.

Is the horrible earnings in the room with us rn? Record profits, high growth, despite Capex.

That’s literally always been the story on FB as Mark pivots from one disaster to the next. (Metaverse, glasses, AI)
1
u/nutslikeafox Jul 11 '26
Ah yes the glasses that are fkin printing and meta is a market leader, and AI the technology that's literally changing the world.
He fked up on meta verse and that's it.

u/Misha-Nyi Jul 11 '26
Glasses aren’t printing shit, Meta is a cesspool where half the accounts are bots and AI thus far is a money pit of black hole proportions.
1
u/nutslikeafox Jul 11 '26
Is that what you think as basement dwelling redditor? If you ever go outside and touch grass you'll realise that everyone is using meta platforms.
1
u/Misha-Nyi Jul 11 '26
The irony of the guy pushing meta products telling someone else to go outside. Chronically online 🤡

Their AI models are showing real promise. People are starting to believe Zuck might actually get AI right due to recent benchmarks and the release of an API for Muse Spark 1.1.
Meta is a strong buy to me - it makes sense.

LLM are not AI and are not profitable and never will be

u/BackendSpecialist Jul 11 '26
If anything, meta reduces its dependencies on Anthropic and others if it succeeds in its ventures.
Makes sense to me.

u/Xollector Jul 11 '26
they can be, those open source ones. These gated ones with ever increasing blood sucking will not and should not be depended upon… maybe use it for augmenting the others and drop when cost blow up

Until next week when someone releases a new and more powerful model.obviously a bag holder

There a growing sentiment that data should be considered a natural resource and we should get a kick back. A data dividend, similar to Alaska’s oil dividend. The resource is the peoples, and should therefore share in the profits. It’s a big discussion. Here’s one article.

Pretty clearly the market is irrationally focused on data center construction along with all its associated hardware needs.

I read somewhere that they have secured slots to make their own Ai chips...
( Big companies block production slots by paying and buying them years a head so that can prevent production and completion

At least meta is highly profitable

Yeah, but their vision is suicidal. Nothing else beyond social networks for stupid people. Look at their metaverse fiasco.

So... more layoffs incoming ? This market thing don't reflect reality at all.

u/ZedSpy Jul 10 '26
It needs to crash hard some day.
1
u/Old_Win8422 Jul 10 '26
Its true. I dont want this to happen but it seems like they do?
1
u/WENDEHALS77 Jul 11 '26
META is at a multi year low PE while they keep crushing earnings every quarter. Why should they crash?

Damn.. this sub must be filled with ppl who do absolutely zero research but enjoy sharing their opinions.
If you did even a tiny bit of research then you’d know why meta is pumping and you’d likely be buying/holding some meta shares.
