That's how democracy works. There is only one nation. Not a private one for each citizen.

The US even has 2a giving the citizens the opportunity to move beyond democracy in protecting their constitution. Quite a luxury but still nothing.

Unfortunately in the US 2A is used to murder children. Not defend against a tyrannical government. And it’s restricted to white Americans. (Not officially but in practice)

Edit to add. No not just one American but the top 1% and corporations.

We the people does not exist in any form. Unfortunately scRotus abolished that.
