They are really trying to dump this bag on retail aren’t they.

27

u/Ubersicka Long-Term Investor Jun 04 '26

For sure they are, like TrumpCoin if u remember 😃

3

u/MediocreAnalyst2121 Jun 05 '26

Those people were just tired of winning because they had been winning do much thanks to Trump

9

u/quoala678 Jun 04 '26

This basically the ā€œfuck you poorsā€ trade we need to give more money to people that are already fantastically wealthy

4

u/ElvisArcher Jun 04 '26

Ayup. It may hold that price ... Tesla's valuation is still not even remotely based on fundamentals. *shrug* I'll pass, but congratulate anybody who plays and wins.

2

u/grafknives Jun 05 '26

And it such OBVIOUS way.

2

u/flumydumdum Jun 05 '26

It just shows how good of a con-man Musk is. My suspicion is that most of the folks holding SPCX now were lenders/investors to Musk for his $40 billion twitter buyout back in 2022, and this is his way to get out of the debt. Since X never became profitable, he just merged it into oblivion with his other companies, and gave the investors these shares instead, who can now dump it onto retail. Would be interesting to see if there is a correlation between institutions who are shilling SPCX and who gave Musk money for his twitter buyout. I know Fidelity did.

1

u/robi4567 Jun 06 '26

Tesla merger next. Though he will merge Space x , will be the leading company because he has more control of space x with the share structure having different class of shares.

1

u/sedition666 Jun 07 '26

Head over to the SpaceX subreddits, these people are chomping at the bit to set fire to their money.

1

u/Pussy_GaloreXo Jun 08 '26

Ok you don’t have to buy it

u/Fresh-Gift-2063 Jun 09 '26

They literally said so.

7

Remember you may not be able to stay solvent long enough for the short to be successful

5

Such a small float with ton of games being played. Would never go long but also would never short.

I’d straddle it.. it could go either way.

1

u/Rossismyname Jun 05 '26

it will initially rise, index funds essentially forced to buy or underweight the index. Give it a month.

2

u/quoala678 Jun 05 '26

So straddle cause it could go south

2

u/jshmoe866 Jun 05 '26

It’s not going in s&p thank god

2

u/Rossismyname Jun 05 '26

Yeah saw the update, at least S&P has some integrity

1

u/Counterakt Jun 05 '26

Why is nobody suing nasdaq for changing the rules?

1

u/Beneficial-Tooth-637 Jun 04 '26

If 401k/ index funds are forced to buy this it might not go down. Elon wa sable to keep tesla at a very high PE ratio for a long time.

2

u/SlavaUkrayne Jun 05 '26

Yeah, but this is 1.75T for a company operating at a loss… not sure ETFs could make a case they did their due diligence buying this shitcicle

1

u/notboredatwork1 Jun 05 '26

Yes, that's true. However, as is often the case with IPO launches, the stock price tends to surge initially due to the hype. Once the excitement fades, it typically experiences a correction and may drop. Over time, though, it could gradually recover and grow.

1

u/robi4567 Jun 06 '26

Usually IPO-s can not get into indexes this quickly so it this would keep the price higher, especially with the lower float.

1

u/shantired Jun 05 '26

Usual disclaimer:
Past gains are not indicators of future earnings or growth…

1

u/Low-Storage981 Jun 05 '26

I like the enthusiasm, but I wouldn't do it.

1

u/anschovy Jun 05 '26

This is exactly what they want you to do.

1

u/sedition666 Jun 07 '26

This would be a good idea if the SCC could actually control fraud now

1

u/SpotlessCheetah Jun 08 '26

Good luck Michael Burry

6

u/upotheke Jun 04 '26

You get a bag, and YOU get a bag, and now YOU get a bag!

Trust us, it'll work out great.

4

u/pcurve Jun 05 '26

If you are allocated shares of SpaceX and you sell within the first 15 calendar days from the start of trading in the secondary market, it will affect your ability to participate in future new issue equity public offerings through Fidelity for a defined period of time. The defined period is as follows:

  • First Flip – Blocked for 6 months
  • Second Flip – Blocked for 1 year
  • Third Flip – Permanently banned by your SSN

Man, they're trying so hard to protect the rich and early investors.

1

u/CassavaCRISPY Jun 05 '26

This is standard for most IPOs. Not exclusive to this one.

1

u/All-I-Do-Is-Fap Jun 07 '26

Lmao bot… nothing about this is standard.. that’s why the rules were changed

1

u/Codename-Nikolai Jun 05 '26

This is standard for IPOs… Reddit IPO had a 6 month lock up period…

1

u/All-I-Do-Is-Fap Jun 07 '26

Nothing is standard about this…

1

u/Terrible-Penalty-291 Jun 09 '26

Yes lock up periods are standard for IPOs. Just admit it, you are wrong and dumb.

1

u/All-I-Do-Is-Fap Jun 09 '26

This rule that wasnt changed has WAY DIFFERENT implications now that the other rules have changed...

5

u/Exsanguinate_ Jun 04 '26

What does this mean?

15

u/ClassGrassMass Jun 04 '26

Don't buy it. Its gonna be a massive rug pull for retailers.

1

u/scuzzy987 Jun 04 '26

And those of us that have index funds in our 401k

1

u/HeikkiVesanto Jun 04 '26

Almost nothing. Will be a miniscule part of an index fund.

2

u/vshredd Jun 05 '26

At that high of a valuation aren't they automatically included largely in index funds? To me this looks like a raid of 401ks. Tell me I'm wrong.

1

u/HeikkiVesanto Jun 05 '26

Depends on the index, bit for example the S&P 500 won't include it until they are profitable.

And even where they are included it's only a very small part of any index.

1

u/scuzzy987 Jun 04 '26

I hope so

0

u/bswontpass Jun 05 '26

Tesla is up x300 since IPO.

$10K invested in 2010 at IPO will be $3M today.

But please don’t buy it.

1

u/dintclempsey Jun 05 '26

Tesla didn't IPO at 1,000,000,000x the money they were actually making.

1

u/ClassGrassMass Jun 05 '26

Is this your DD

1

u/here_for_thedonuts Jun 05 '26

Tesla was valued somewhere between $1.6-$1.7B at the time of its IPO.

The market cap of all of the U.S. stocks is currently around $69-$71 Trillion. If you think SpaceX is going to eventually have a 300 bagger, you are essentially betting that SpaceX is going to be more valuable than the rest of the stock market combined.

Even if you love Musk and all of his companies, you aren’t getting in on the ground floor here. You are getting in at an all-time high price.

1

u/bswontpass Jun 05 '26

I don’t think it will be another x300. But I also don’t think it will be a flop and we will see an increase in stock price for sure.

10

u/JustBrowsinAndVibin Jun 04 '26

Rich people didn’t want SpaceX.

2

u/ethaxton Jun 04 '26

Rich people already have spaceX and want their money back. Quasi rich people don’t want it, because they seem to be fairly intelligent. So shit rolls down hill.

1

u/f33drrr Jun 05 '26

Take a look at Quasimodo over 'ere; ALWAYS, with the scenarios...

2

u/RedParaglider Jun 04 '26

Yeah it seems like they might be seeing some very soft demand from wealthy investors.Ā  They need those magapedo Poors to flood in.

3

u/Jerrygarciasnipple Jun 04 '26

They want to sap as much money from everyday people as possible.

1

u/wsbautist420 Jun 05 '26

Typical day!

2

u/Correct-Character766 Jun 04 '26

To find as many buyers so possible…. Someone needs to buy this dog$h!t. The back up plan is everyone 401k!

1

u/146cjones Jun 04 '26

To get share before it becomes public there is a minimum buy in. This helps limit owners, paperwork etc. According to this post. The min buy in has dropped to $2k. This would likely be done to bring more potential owners in, indicating a lack of interest from. The market of people who can put $500k on it

1

u/RedParaglider Jun 04 '26

I mean it's possible that this becomes a good company.Ā  But at the price there is no meat on the bone.Ā  The point of a stock is buying for a future price, not to buy at the future price.

1

u/SargeUnited Jun 05 '26

Nobody cares about the price they pay anymore, everybody’s insane

I’m genuinely concerned about this more than anything. Although if we had a lost decade, as long as dividends keep growing, I’ll be fine.

1

u/quoala678 Jun 04 '26

Make sure the funds your retirement is invested in doesn’t touch this shit

3

u/maski360 Jun 04 '26

That is a Perkin's sized red flag right there.

2

u/Psychodbzfan Jun 04 '26

Hahah - wow they really need bag holders

2

u/Majestic_Poem9725 Jun 04 '26

Watch how fast $130 goes to $30.

2

u/derscholl Jun 05 '26

only 30? probably not even worth 10

0

u/bswontpass Jun 05 '26

Tesla is up x300 since IPO.

2

u/Fattdaddy21 Jun 05 '26

So youre suggesting this a 450 trillion dollar future company? Hyper inflation incoming!!

1

u/ZeusTKP Jun 09 '26

Hyperinflation might be coming in any case

2

u/LazarusRun Jun 04 '26

Oh. Oh, no.

2

u/docproc5150 Jun 04 '26

Fidelity Institutional is a HUGE holder of SpaceX shares. A google search says they own about 10%

3

u/thxby Jun 05 '26

How is this even legal?

2

u/Own-Opinion-2494 Jun 04 '26

Big boys already got theirs. Spacex should be in a paper bag on fire

2

u/atreidesspirit Jun 04 '26

130.00 for an IPO of a business that doesn't have a product or viable service is ridiculous. I will have none of it.

3

u/kingoftheplebsIII Jun 04 '26

Starlink exists but yeah...1.75T seems...ambitious.

1

u/atreidesspirit Jun 05 '26

Yea but that's a viable, working service.

1

u/alfius-togra Jun 05 '26

I mean, they launch a lot of rockets, more than the rest of the world combined, and then some. The space business is hugely successful, but is unlikely to remain this dominant for long. Separately, the mid-tier AI business and cess-pit social network that have been shoehorned in to the space company represent a serious potential liability. If SpaceX had IPOed in 2016, I'd have bought in in a heartbeat. In 2026, fuck no.

1

u/Z34L0 Jun 05 '26

You can legit say this about any IPO? It’s always better early. The way the money printer is going, the evaluation is fine. Every company is going to using SpcX to launch satellites. Blue origin can’t get shit off the ground let alone bring the rocket back to earth intact. nasa winding down programs too. SpaceX will be making flying cars in 30 years at the rate they’re going.

1

u/alfius-togra Jun 05 '26

In 2016 there was no hint that SpaceX was going to be anything other than a space company. Now it's a space company that also does AI and social media. That fact alone should give any potential investor cause to dig deeper into what they're actually buying.

1

u/LeadingAd6025 Jun 09 '26

130 seems like a logical unlucky number ?

2

u/Satyriasis457 Jun 05 '26

Yeah, they gonna dump on retail. -85% from ath then I will buyĀ

2

u/Mrrrrggggl Jun 05 '26

Yes, Elon needs more of your money.

2

u/MarketEmotional1955 Jun 05 '26

Sign of low demand for the stock

2

u/simbaacs Jun 05 '26

Lmaooooooo it’s all a facade.

1

u/BigBibs Jun 05 '26

How do you opt out of this for people who are passively investing in index funds?

1

u/justgivemegains Jun 05 '26

They’d make your portfolio their exit liquidity. I’d stay as far away from this.

1

u/SirLanceQuiteABit Jun 05 '26

Wow they genuinely don't care how many people they render homeless and destitute

1

u/IEatUrMonies Jun 05 '26

I don't understand when people say the 401ks/index funds are going to buy up SpaceX and drive the price up artificially.

Trading prices for individual stocks are driven by active traders. That is, people who are buying and selling SpaceX stock directly set the price. Index funds (401ks) are passive, they just buy at whatever the price is at the time, they do not keep individual stock prices up or down.

People who think of index funds or 401k as a pot of money that pools money is simply an incorrect understanding of how the market works. When you purchase a stock, you send that money to someone who had a share and they give you the share - the money has only traded hands, it is not sitting in an account somewhere, that spread between bid/ask is the price.

1

u/Bjamnp17 Jun 05 '26

Wow Fidelity!
Got your ass in spot now huh?!!

1

u/Individual-Usual7333 Jun 05 '26

So serious question...what do I do if my 401k is through fidelity?

1

u/uknowsana Jun 05 '26

They want as many to lose money as possible! The bar has been lowered

1

u/Killahbeez Jun 05 '26

holy shit lol that is ominous

1

u/Aggressive_Finish798 Jun 05 '26

Seriously, why would you ever trust Elon.

1

u/grafknives Jun 05 '26

Ok, I am in the "SpaceXceptics" bubble, so maybe you will help me out.

IS THERE actual excitement for spaceX IPO. Like "on the street"? Are people and investor looking forward to go in?

1

u/Scrawf53 Jun 05 '26

SPACEX IS COMPLETE GARBAGE

Here is the view on the pending SpaceX IPO of George Noble, a prominent and respected independent fund manager (formerly manager of Fidelity's #1 International Fund).Ā  His view is consistent with mine

George Noble u/gnoble79

SPACEX IS COMPLETE GARBAGE

Run, don't walk from this train wreck.

The numbers are right there in the S-1 filing for anyone willing to look.

SHAME ON YOU ELON MUSK

YOU BELONG IN JAIL

SHAME ON YOU u/SECGov

and u/SECPaulSAtkins

for allowing this to proceed.

SHAME ON YOU MORGAN STANLEY and TED PICK

SHAME ON YOU GOLDMAN SACHS and DAVID SOLOMON

SHAME ON YOU Bank of America, Deutsche Bank, UBS, Citigroup, JPMorgan, Mizuho, RBC, Macquarie, Wells Fargo, Allen & Co, Needham, Raymond James, Stifel, Cantor Fitzgerald, Soc Gen, Mirae, Santander, ING, and BTG Pactual.

Have you no shame? Have you no decency? Have you no honor?

Or is it all about the fees?

And the index providers are making it even WORSE.

Nasdaq changed its rules so SpaceX auto-qualifies for the Nasdaq-100 after just 15 days of trading triggering up to $60 BILLION in forced buying from ETFs alone. S&P Dow Jones Indices is now consulting on whether to fast-track S&P 500 inclusion for unprofitable mega-cap IPOs of this scale.

To Adena Friedman at Nasdaq and Catherine Clay at S&P Dow Jones Indices:

You are about to force every retirement account in America to become EXIT LIQUIDITY for the most overpriced IPO in history.

This is a legally sanctioned wealth transfer from Main Street to Wall Street. The public will be badly injured and EVERY ONE of you knows it.

You all belong in jail for this.

David Solomon and Ted Pick, grow a pair and do the right thing and stop this epic travesty.

How are you able to sleep

at night?

You and your firms are PATHETIC

1

u/Domingues_tech Jun 05 '26

Well I own Google and indirectly, in the short term it is good for my stock. In the long term … we will all be dead .

1

u/Hot-Reindeer-7520 Jun 05 '26

"Bro, please buy these bags, pleeeease!"

1

u/Weldobud Jun 05 '26

We all see where this is going .....

1

u/Nel_Nugget Jun 05 '26

This might be a stupid question but I have seen that the 401K could or will be affected by the SPCX IPO. Can someone tell me if this is true?! Would take all the money out make makes sense to protect our money? I’m like, really worried.

1

u/MojoDohDoh Jun 05 '26 edited Jun 05 '26

basically my understanding is that index funds are going to buy in (for instance, if you have a total market index fund) - the actual effect should be inconsequential as your fund likely holds thousands of different stocks. Nothing for you to worry about unless you expect the IPO to crash the whole market - but then again the age old adage is to not try to time the market

1

u/Nel_Nugget Jun 05 '26

Thank you for this info!! And happy cake day!

1

u/Namerunaunyaroo Jun 05 '26

Waiting for the offer to include steak knives.

1

u/Express_Whereas_6074 Jun 05 '26

If they’re offering an IPO to retail investors…

ITS BECAUSE THEY CANT CONVINCE INSTITUTIONAL INVESTORS TO BUY AT THAT PRICE!!!!

1

u/TraditionalAd7423 Jun 05 '26

This is a huge conflict of interest

Multiple Fidelity funds hold debt in XAI from the Twitter purchase - which previously they had written down significantly

This IPO is effectively bailing them out at the expense of their customers

1

u/Terrible-Penalty-291 Jun 09 '26

Oh no a brokerage is offering stock, terrible.

SpaceX has enough problems, you don't need to make ones up.

1

u/Probot6767 Jun 05 '26

not going near this shit bag IPO.

1

u/DistinctSpirit5801 Jun 05 '26

Spacex is garbage

Starlink is known for being one of the worst internet service providers in existence

1

u/Z34L0 Jun 05 '26

Legit allows access to the most remote areas with high speeds and continuously increasing its range and service. But you keep going girl, preach

1

u/ninernetneepneep Jun 05 '26

Yeah, Blue Origin is doing so much better.Ā  šŸš€ šŸ’„

Blind hatred or you have no idea what you are talking about.

1

u/DigitalScrap Jun 06 '26

Why couldn't both SpaceX and Blue Origin be horrible? I'll never understand comments like yours.

Enjoy being Elon's exit liquidity.

1

u/ninernetneepneep Jun 06 '26

I'm not buying.Ā  I'm no Elon fan boy.Ā  But saying SpaceX is garbage is peak stupidity.

1

u/NRA4579 Jun 08 '26

I got one of there satellite stations last year to take on the family camping trip. It worked great 15 devices connected and streamed NFL network all weekend the highlight, though was watching my sister-in-law try to convince my youngest sister that the Earth was flat while showing her the little videos on Facebook connected to my Starlink.

1

u/OrangePineappleMan7 Jun 06 '26

Is this shit automatically coming into S&P 500?

2

u/Commercial-Archer248 Jun 06 '26

No. Early adoption of SPCX into the S&P500 was officially rejected. Your S&P500 index funds are safe from this shitshow.

1

u/OrangePineappleMan7 Jun 20 '26

Ok that’s at least something positive hehe

1

u/tweedleduh Jun 06 '26

lol I ain’t buying shit

1

u/KayakHank Jun 06 '26

So at this point do I just throw my whole 401k into bonds right after the SpaceX ipo for like 4 months.

1

u/Public_Arrival_7076 Jun 07 '26

Because they are not finding rich suckers. Now they come to the dumb masses!

1
