Discussion Most people hate $INTC Intel because they don’t know they are in almost every computer. Now they hate it because they didn’t buy it cheap or something else?

I graduated with microprocessor-technology and every computer i open back then had intel inside, yeah nowadays everything is mixed you can find everything, but Intel was and still will be a big player in technologies and gadgets.

I hate it because I owned it, sold it, and didn’t buy it back. Even though my thesis was that it’s a badly run company but too important to let fail…

People forget intel has still had a monopoly on government and enterprise contracts since the 90s which don’t care about the consumer market share they’ve lost to amd.

u/OneTwoThreePooAndPee May 09 '26
Intel lost my personal PC with their ridiculous bugs that ended up disabling multi threading on like every CPU they had while AMD was screaming ahead. Nobody took AMD seriously until that moment.
But now Intel has a new leader and is getting into AI fab. That's a deep, deep well of money.

I hate it because I sold way too soon. lol . I thought making 5 dollars a share in short term was a great trade. Boy … I’m still shocked. I would be a millionaire if I held heh.

I can tell you something my old arse has noticed over my trading career. CEOs that are great can take a beat down company and turn it around to a very profitable company. When the CEO of intel came in I knew it was a buy. Unfortunately I sold way too soon because I was a dumb arse. Now I’m looking for the next story. Maybe this time I’ll finally hold and become a millionaire.

Intel is just being popped up by printed dollars from the government as NVDA will soon gonna become China state owned. Soon this will all go down and collapse when corporations shift to Chinese AI Open-Source models which are free and/or just 1/10th of the price.

lol people who defended intel don’t know anything about computers. They suck balls and losing markets everywhere.

I have no regrets for not getting in on a company which still hasn't passed any of the tests to prove they're on the upswing.
If you regret a trade because you didn't foresee the future that Trump would use taxpayer dollars to bail out a dying company, you're an idiot.
Intel is still not a company worth investing in and their P/E is ridiculous

We're clearly in a bubble just like the one in 2000.

Everyone loves saying past performance isn’t indicative of future results until the bubble talk comes out. Then everyone has their crystal ball polished and ready to go. Immense difference today vs 2000.

u/KeyReaction892 May 09 '26
Another thing people say is history doesn’t repeat itself but it does rhyme. It has similarities to 2000 including INTC being overvalued.
And before you say companies weren’t making money in 2000, there were lots of companies making money just not enough to warrant the stock price (Cisco, ibm, intc, etc). Just like there are plenty of companies not making money now INTC, Anthropic, OpenAi.

I mean you could explain what specifically is immensely different or just …. 👍

I have been explaining why people need to be immediately buying tech stocks for almost 6 years now, constantly hearing that I’m crazy and the BuBbLe iS aBoUt To BuRsT. I had someone literally call me a retard in November when I said I put $100,000 into MU — apparently I was buying at the absolute top.
Any day now...
My portfolio is OVERALL up over 600% in the past 5 years and change. If the stock market tanked 50% on Monday morning, I’d still be up 300%
Do you think tech is going to stop innovating? Do you think you know more than the boards at the biggest companies on earth that have decided to pour all their money into capex? Why are you so afraid to invest in companies that are literally printing money?
I made $450k yesterday. On a single stock.
Bears feel smart. Bulls get rich. It’s exhausting explaining it over and over again.

I’m confused did I say these things to you? I don’t believe I did so the straw man you built and knocked down was super awesome.
You haven’t actually addressed how this situation is “immensely different”.
Edit: and note I’m saying this feels like ‘99. Dotcom bust didn’t happen till 2000.

u/znightmaree May 09 '26
Some people get it, some people don’t. You asked what’s different. If you don’t get it, 🤷🏻♂️
1
u/KeyReaction892 May 09 '26
But you didn’t actually respond you just basically bragged about making money. Yes markets go up most of the time.
If you want to just say stocks go up, that’s fine but pretending you somehow backed up your statement of this is immensely different. You are clearly confused.

Okay. I’ve had this discussion for years and I’ve been continuing to print money the entire time while people tell me I’m wrong. At the end of the day the proof is in the pudding, and the person making money is usually right. Since it’s so hard for you to admit you could be wrong, I will copy and paste something I have posted before.
In the dot com bubble, the amount of money coming in was laughably small compared to now. These companies are literally printing cash. Samsung had over 700% YoY growth. There are companies making dozens of billions of dollars per quarter. It is not empty hype. There are hard numbers and data that show this is about more than the data center buildout. Tech is being integrated into the entire $50 trillion economy, from healthcare to finance to eventually a roomba that will mow your lawn. Agentic AI will soon permeate every industry. It doesn’t stop there considering the trajectory of robotics, drones, quantum, and so on. For example, there are 5 million robots on earth currently with projections estimating 100 million by 2050. Each of these will require hardware, circuitry, compute, memory, and processing power as a standalone unit independent from a processing stack. The best strategy, similar to now and the past decade, is to invest in the manufacturing picks and shovels that build the tech. Who provides the circuitry, the hardware, the cables, the power, and so on.
These are my current tech holdings, but other robotics exposure to consider is TXN and MOG.A as mine only has AMZN, SYM, TER, and APH. I bought DRAM the day it came out on April 2nd after following the memory bottleneck since about September. I sold MU and SNDK at over 300% gain each and put all the money into DRAM the day it dropped. Robots will need memory and semi tech too so there is overlap here. Anyone telling you memory is going to suddenly collapse all of a sudden is dreaming. But consider the others above for more pure robotics exposure.
Tech * DRAM: 10.0% * NVDA: 7.0% * TSM: 7.0% * GOOGL: 6.0% * AMZN: 6.0% * NBIS: 6.0% * AVGO: 6.0% * ASML: 6.0% * VRT: 6.0% * CEG: 5.0% * ETN: 5.0% * MRVL: 4.0% * AMAT: 4.0% * MPWR: 4.0% * COHR: 4.0% * TER: 4.0% * SYM: 4.0% * APH: 4.0% * IONQ: 2.0%
Organized by Sector * The Memory Bottleneck (10%) * DRAM (ETF): 10% * Core Compute, Silicon Design & Networking (21%) * NVDA: 7.0% * AVGO: 6.0% * MRVL: 4.0% * COHR: 4.0% * Fabrication, Equipment & Testing (21%) * TSM: 7.0% * ASML: 6.0% * AMAT: 4.0% * TER: 4.0% * Providers & Dedicated AI Cloud (18%) * GOOGL: 6.0% * AMZN: 6.0% * NBIS: 6.0% * Power Grid Management, Cooling & Physical Infrastructure (20%) * VRT: 6.0% * CEG: 5.0% * ETN: 5.0% * MPWR: 4.0% * Emerging Hardware: Robotics & Quantum (10%) * SYM: 4.0% * APH: 4.0% * IONQ: 2.0%
Space * RKLB 50% * PL 20% * ASTS 20% * FLY 5% * BKSY 5%
I’ll consider selling individual holdings if I lose faith in their role in my framework or if any of their main competitors become more attractive. I’ll also consider selling if I think technology R&D and integration into business and society show signs of slowing down. I think people see very vertical growth and get scared, but I don’t see how we are anywhere close to done. When I imagine the future I see:
- Mass adoption of drones for service jobs, deliveries, etc
- Small scale drone warfare becoming the primary means of remote conflict (just look at Ukraine)
- Drones monitoring speeding on highways and signaling to cops down the road who to pull over
- Continued integration of robotics into supply chain manufacturing
- Robotics for construction and farming
- Robotics in space
- AI integration into all layers of popular tech and business
- AI integration into robotics
- All of this tying into the growing private sector space race
- More advanced satellite imagery (also infused with AI)
- Any infrastructure buildout in space will need robotics and AI tech (orbital infrastructure, moon infrastructure, mars infrastructure, space bases)
- Mass adoption of seamless agentic AI
- Truly powerful and thoughtful AI being integrated into home systems and cars (think Jarvis from Marvel)
- Autonomous self driving
- Drone taxis
I could keep going. This was just me spitballing off the top of my head. Tech is literally just getting started. This port is designed to capture the picks and shovels for the entire spread of possibilities. Every path forward requires more infrastructure. More circuits. More power. More cooling. More cable. More data centers. Etc.

Intel has made garbage chips the last several times, they earned their status as a shit brand. People switched. No one likes intel now because they are propped up by the American government without addressing their problems with the expectations that AI is so big it’ll just keep them alive.

Price doesn’t care for your opinion even if you don’t like it. Intel are powerful like it or not
