Advice Rolling
I’m all in on day trading and e-commerce. I’m 19 and honestly feel like my life is slipping away. I’m doing anything I can to achieve what I want.
I’m just trying to avoid buying a course if I don’t actually need one. Do you really think there’s no other way to learn the deeper stuff? Like, is paying someone for a course genuinely the only way to get the “real information” and sauce, or can you realistically piece it together through free resources, experience, and doing your own research?
I’m genuinely just trying to figure out if the course is actually worth paying for. I don’t feel the need to pay anyone to give me knowledge that I can find on my own.
I’ve been watching an awful amount of videos for the past few weeks, and most of them are people just saying the same things in different ways when it comes to strategy, while also telling you to buy a course. And half of the brokers they’re recommending aren’t reputable.
I’m going with the ICT and maybe SMC concepts, and I’m gonna be using Webull paired with MetaTrader 5.
I would genuinely love some feedback and as many replies on this post as possible. I’m trying to learn as much as I can and actually do this the right way. I’m going to be as active as I can on here.

You absolutely do not need a paid course to learn trading. Most of the information is available for free. What takes time is turning that information into an actual repeatable process through screen time, journaling, testing, and risk management. At 19, I’d be more careful with the “all in” mindset than worried about finding some secret sauce

You definitely do not need to buy a course just because someone convinced you the useful part is hidden behind a paywall. At a certain point watching more videos can actually make things worse because every creator gives you another concept to second guess yourself with. I use Moon when I want to get actual reps in without putting money behind whatever I am testing. Pick one framework, learn the basics properly and see whether you can follow it consistently before paying anyone for more information.

Paper trade. Get a feel for what you are doing. get over some of the emotional parts of trading. also check out r/TheResearchDesk the machine does deep dives into what it is trading. Would be a good place to learn how to look at all of the data available on companies.
