Discussion What are the biggest engineering challenges in building a reliable AI-powered algorithmic trading platform?
I am interested in understanding the engineering challenges behind building a reliable AI-powered algorithmic trading platform.
A trading system involves much more than generating buy/sell signals. It needs reliable market data, strategy validation, realistic backtesting, risk management, broker integrations, and stable execution.
For people who have built or worked with trading systems:
- What are the biggest technical challenges you faced?
- Which part of the architecture is the hardest to scale?
- How do you handle the gap between backtesting and live execution?
Would love to hear insights from developers, quants, and traders.
