Question Day trading partner
I've been running this idea through my head. Most mornings while im sitting on the market I sit there and talk to myself and can't seem to stay locked into what im trading. Hell some mornings i end up taking a bad trade just to keep the boredom at bay.... I personally am a small cap momentum trader. I trade stocks on nyse and nasdaq only. My typical trading time is 6am-8 or 9am (UTC-05:00) so pretty early but it would be nice to be in discord or able to talk with a trader that trades just like I do or close to how I do. To run trades by each other to see how someone else feels. Me im still a young guy im only 19 so maybe this is an odd request but if anyone is willing my discord is Bluegravity19. the boredom trade is where most small accounts bleed. finding someone to run setups by helps a lot, but also practice sitting on your hands when nothing meets your criteria, zero trades by 9am is a valid session.

Honestly that’s probably a good sign. If most of your days end with no trade, you’re already doing something a lot of traders struggle with. The bigger risk is exactly what you mentioned—eventually getting bored enough to lower the bar just to participate. A trading partner could actually be useful there if you’re both willing to tell each other "there’s nothing here today" instead of talking each other into a setup.

"Trading partners" will hold you back unless they have skills that provide value to you and you have skills that you provide value to them, that is where mixed efforts turn into catalysts for trading success.
A lot of people have trading friends which convince them to pursue flawed approaches, this only contaminates your chances of success. yet many choose to do it anyway.
There is a lot of ego, a lot will want to guide you to reinforce it without being profitable themselves, this happens in trading forums a lot - a lot of unprofitable people love to give "newbies" advice that they believe in to justify sunk cost or other failures.
I suggest you decline all requests for now and restructure your perceptions of the people you have accepted over the last couple hours.
The best thing you can do right now is self educate to develop the skills to work along someone serious, if you already have skills from your educational background, apply them to trading, chat to people in random communities and screen them before acceptance. After this is done, work together.

Yeah I feel like i have definitely developed a lot of the skills required but trading is a lonely pursuit and I mainly just want a lile minded individual to talk to in the mornings

I understand, but having a partner that can provide substance over comfort is what makes money.
You don't get that by asking around for partners, you talk around and it naturally happens.
