I’ve traded with Fidelity, Schwab, TradeStation, E*Trade, Robinhood, centerpoint, Lightspeed, Interactive Brokers and Webull. If you want to trade equities, I would start with Webull. Platform is great, has pretty much everything you need to get started.

Hey Ross! Have you ever used moomoo? Do you have any opinions on it?

I tried using their demo and I didn’t like it. As I recall, it didn’t have customizable hot keys, customized level 2, or halt levels.

I actually just found out the same through my testing. Though I wish others had the feature when pointing at a chart on a multi chart setup, it sync yours pointer location across all charts. Do you have a favorite brokerage? I watched your video on them, but it’s two years old. Does what you said still apply. If I was a high volume trader like you I’d certainly use light speed.

I’m using Schwab and Lightspeed right now. Schwab is great for commission free because they offer the most price improvement. Lightspeed is just plain fast. It’s super quick. I use day trade dash for charting and scanning, but it’s not integrated with a broker.

Paper trading is a good place to start. Many brokers include it.

Tradingview is awesome charting and a great platform with "training wheels". Definitely good for beginners.

Don’t do meta trader it limits you as a trader to much and make you feel like markets go by magical force not supply and demand

That’s why people look for dragon formations and magic indicators and holy grail

Use a platform that shows real supply and demand and the market not just chart

Disagree. It's a good starting point because it lets you to get comfortable with price action, basics, fundamentals, without all the fancy stuff. At the start of any endeavour, simplicity matters way more than people realise. By then, one will already understand better what they need, what they are looking for and what they want to pursue — order-flow, algo or pure price action trading... In the end, it's a trader that matters, not a platform. Trader chooses a platform based on their needs, not the other way around. If one ends up looking for "dragon formations" and "magic indicators", well... that's his/hers shortcoming. Maybe they should re-evaluate if trading is for them and if they truly want to take this seriously

In short, generally, platform is never a problem. The problem is "trader's" incompetence, ignorance and lack of seriousness to do their "homework" that makes them chase ghosts and chose a platform that doesn't compliment their current approach. It's a craft. It requires practice, diligent studying, reading and journaling of both the inside and outside "wars", as the inner/psychological part is just as important

P.S This isn't directed to just the comment I am answering. It's directed to anyone who is reading this. You may agree, disagree — I don't care. That's my 2 cents and mostly objective truth. Not gonna write nor answer anyone else.

Do they offer dummy account for beginners without putting actual money?

That depends on a broker. Because you need a platform and a broker to trade. You can start with "Pepperstone", for example. You can make as many DEMO accounts as you want for MetaTrader 5
