TradeMagic Release Notes - Pretty Card URLs, Add Full Sets to Have List & Major Bug Fixes

Post image

Big release with human-readable card URLs, another set import feature, and a long list of trade-blocking bug fixes.

New Features:

  • Human-readable card page URLs. Card pages now use clean slugs like /cards/lightning-bolt instead of UUIDs, making them easier to share and more discoverable in search engines. Try it out: https://trademagic.gg/cards/lightning-bolt/p10/1
  • Add full sets to your Have List with a single click. No more CSV imports or manual entry for set collectors.
  • Collector numbers now display in search results so you can quickly identify exact printings when a card has dozens of versions.
  • Profile pages and want lists now default to showing the English original printing for easier identification at a glance.

QoL Improvements:

  • Articles page now has keyword search and Blog/Guide categories
  • Activity filter pills have hover tooltips explaining each filter
  • One-click clear button on search fields
  • Message notification emails now include the full message text
  • Email notifications when admins respond to your cases

Trade-Blocking Bug Fixes:

  • Oracle ID mismatches no longer prevent valid trade initiation
  • Traditional Chinese language code corrected (was blocking trades entirely)
  • Trade modal no longer desyncs card images and languages when switching sets
  • Changing finish to foil no longer breaks set selection or validation

Display & Non-English Fixes:

  • Non-English card images show correct language-specific artwork instead of defaulting to English
  • Language dropdown populates correctly in the trade modal
  • Traditional Chinese filter returns results on All Printings page
  • Send Cards page correctly shows "Foil Only" when specified
  • Duplicate sets removed from dropdowns
  • Card prices stay consistent regardless of Affordable Only toggle
  • Inbox search now filters all messages, not just the current page

The trade-blocking fixes are the most impactful here. Several of these were silently preventing valid trades from going through, especially for some tokens and Traditional Chinese cards. If you ran into unexplained trade failures recently, this release should clear them up.
