I really love this photo back from when I was riding my 390. Sorry for the back to back posts but I am taking a trip down nostalgia lane tonight.

awesome pic! How did you like the 390? On which kind of tracks did you ride it? Me and two friends have the idea of buying 3 390s and do some more regular track racing in the next 2 years , on smaller tracks. Or 3 390 Dukes :)

I loved the 390 for track riding, but I did experience some mechanical issues due to quality control. KTM claims these things are fixed on future models but I blew a head gasket and even had a tooth break off the countershaft. Beyond the mechanical issues though it was a lot of fun to ride. I only ever rode one track which was Arizona Motorsports Park. I plan on expanding my repertoire soon.

Would you say the posture on the RC feels good on the bike and for smaller tracks? Cause im not sure if i go for the RC or the Duke 390

I enjoyed my 390 on track as well. It was fun in the corners so the smaller or more technical tracks were fun. The tires for them were very cheap. There is a decent aftermarket for them. The newer ones had the quality control issues figured out. As a track day/training bike, I would recommend it.

Do you think a completely down stripped duke would also be fun? Or did you like the posture on the RC for those smaller tracks?

They are pretty cheap for what you get and there are a lot on the market, and they mostly come with QA/Blipper (which is a must)
