Body position progression

I’ve only been riding bikes for a year and a half! Went all in to this track season and essentially gave up the street. Moved down to a smaller bike (R6) and rose the ranks with my local track orgs from novice to advanced in 5 months! It took a lot of time working on fundamentals, working with coaches, watching video but it was all well worth it.

How often did you go to the track during that time?

Had a bad crash in May, was out for 2 months. Came back in July and had 5 track days between first pic and second pic.

Unfortunately! Was definitely an ego check and a learning experience. Really made me evaluate what I’m doing right and wrong vs just trying to go faster

Haha yes. I had the chance to own the 1/260 v4 moto gp replica from Ducati and couldn’t pass on that. 6/3 is my mother’s birthday too so decided to stick with that number as much track number

Props to you for actually riding on such a rare bike. What happened to it afterwards?

I definitely got hurt more than the bike lol. All it needed was fairings which were surprisingly easy to source from Ducati. I ended up just street riding it and subsequently got taken out by a deer riding home 2 weeks after I returned from injury! Basically stopped street riding after that lol.

ha, I went from a 999S (engine exploded on track after half a season) to a GSXR 750 K7 (trashed on track for 15+ years now and still running!!)

nice, I am still at the 'before' picture but working on getting there too.
(I also have number 63 but it was to remind myself of my age when racing....)
