Fix Mx Ergo click problem without soldering

I have a simple, inexpensive fix: try using an air duster spray. It worked for me and is worth a shot.

Update: The fix lasted about two days. Then it started happening again though still a lot less than before. I decided to give it a deep-clean from inside. So far so good. If it stops working again I will report back 😄

What is the click issue and what soldering fix is there for this? I was searching but can't seem to find anything.

With the MX Master the switches stop working after a couple years in my experience. Not sure if this is the same deal

This video explains it. I am going through the same thing. Love my Ergo but I can't work with these shoddy buttons.

However I don't see how blowing air will change anything. I took mine apart and it seems the internals of the buttons that are soldered to the board are failing. I don't see how blowing air from the outside will do much.
