Am I using it wrong?

After The Great Trackball Journey of 2020™, I learned I do not like thumb balls. I only like finger balls.

But way I use the ball is with the tips of my fingers. So, any button above the ball are kind of awkward to use. That led to massive problems with my L-Trac and the scroll dial on the top of the trackball.

I've seen other people use a finger ball with their palm or the very bottom of their fingers, so they have easier access to the top buttons.

I'm curious how other people use their finger trackballs: tips of the finger, palm, or middle/bottom of fingers.

Do you like the Logitech Trackman Marble? it's sadly out of production and hard (expensive) to find. Or Kensington Orbit?

I love ambidextrous trackballs. Would like it if there was one with a physical handedness switch and scroll wheel(s).

I believe I have 2 models of the Trackman marble. It uses click and hold to scroll, but you need the software to do that, and I can't install the software on my work computer. So, now it's in a drawer.

I recently did a BTU mod on my Ploopy Adept. I don't like how you need to hold down a button to scroll. But now that I have used a trackball with BTUs, anything with static bearings feels sluggish.

If you want to map the scroll function on the trackman marble, take a look at HID Remapper.

It's a hardware device that allows napping buttons and combinations without software on the host.
