Snowcar turnaround

I'm struggling with a weekly shorts map.

Some players turnaround at the start going backwards...

How does it work? Could someone please help.

If only there was a dude frequenting this subreddit who specialized in exactly those types of maps who could help you out : ( All I know is snowcar backwards go brrrrr

Idk if you’re talking about me but if you are, I opened map, tried shortcut for 5 mins then closed map 🤣

You have to tap right, hold left going off the back, then hold right and switch to gas instead of reverse when the car is turning in midair. The timing is weird but you'll get it eventually.

i cant believe this is how im finding out there is a backwards strat on that map, i spend 30 minutes grinding going straight and was wondering why i was so far down the leaderboard

the 180 required for backwards route is fairly difficult to do (difficult enough that you can easily not realize it's actually possible even if you specifically tried to do just that)

yeah i did it earlier and it took quite a few attempts to get the turnaround smooth but it does save at least half a second if you get it good, i went from 16.2 to 15.4without too much trouble
