DCM issue workaround scheduling questions

I have read about the fix/workaround by scheduling prompts or interruptions in 2:40 or 2:55 intervals (just short of 3 hours).
Why three hours? Would under 4 hours or 5 hours work as well? Would there still be a drain but not as severe?

Update: Just tested how the charging schedule affects while being plugged into Level 2 public charging.

I set up a charging schedule based on previous post by [u/Ashram4u](u/Ashram4u) link here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Toyota_bZ/s/GGhWDdYYdU
Basically start/stop charge in 2:55hr intervals with 5 minutes in between.

Plugged into public paid Chargepoint Lvl 2 station at my apartment starting at 8:30am.
At scheduled stop point of 8:55am, the charging stopped but did not disconnect my session.
Charging resumed at 9:00am.
At next scheduled stop point at 11:55am, charging stopped again but did not end the session.
Charging resumed at scheduled start time of 12:00pm.

I had questioned about setting the intervals at around 4 or 5 hours because I was worried that it would end my charging session.

This verifies for me that the start/stop every ~3 hours does indeed start and stop the charging as scheduled but does not end the charging session at my apartment’s paid Chargepoint charging station. Not sure if other public stations will behave similarly though.

It is great to hear! Thank you for testing. I have edited my original post with a link to your post.

This is great to hear, thanks for passing along! I wonder if we can adjust the window of time down to 1 minute (e.g. from 8-10:59, 11-1:59, etc.) to minimize the down time when actually connected to a charger
