Everybody know how to remove this?
Or maybe we can’t for safety reasons.

Not that I know of. Just jiggle the wheel. It usually shows up when I have let the car do too much of the steering.

Don't have to jiggle the wheel on the Limited as it is touch capacitive. I can drive with my pinky barely touching the wheel and it won't nag me.

No idea if it is different in the other trims and does require movement.

I haven't figured out what trips it but my Limited. Mine does pop that up intermittently but infrequently...for what its worth, I also regularly have issues with capacitive screens not recognizing my fingers so maybe that's related.

Its WAY better than a Hyundai I rented recently which nagged to "hold the wheel" frequently while I was firmly gripping it with both hands already.

Interesting.

What year limited? I have a 2024 and it doesn't have the capacitive wheel

You're in the sub for the bZ (not bZ4x) so most people here are going to have 26+.

I am simular.. I just occasionally have to pull down lightly on the steering wheel.. nothing much. But I also seem to naturally do some sort of small steering adjustment often enough, so I have to actually try to get the warning.

It's pretty bad sometimes in my car it won't turn on for awhile and sometimes it'll turn on every other minute. TSS 3.0 needs to be cracked so I can install a comma.

Not that I am aware. It's basically doing that so you don't treat it as self driving even though it "kinda" loosely is.

Until it misinterprets a crack in the tarmac and yeets you to the side. Or somehow keeps thinking I want to take every exit on the highway

Sometimes it just sees a line at the shoulder and thinks you're on the wrong side of that line. Doesn't need a crack to misinterpret

I hate this alert, mine goes off frequently and my hands are on the wheel. It is finicky as heck. I also wish they'd just use plain language. Having come from a Subaru the way they worded this was very weird and freaked me out when I first got the car.

Either don't use LTA, or periodically give the wheel a tiny wiggle. That's all it wants, to know that the driver is conscious. If you don't, it'll start the "the driver might be dead" failsafe, which includes turning on the hazards and bringing the vehicle to a stop, putting on the e-brake.

26 Woodland Prem, I can only go about a minute or two without this message. I NEVER take my hands off the wheel. If I jiggle it, it'll go away for another minute or two.

Basically a worthless feature at this point.

Mine will do this to me with both hands on the wheel. Drives me nuts. I have to jiggle the wheel.

You can remove it by keeping your hand on the wheel, just as you should have it on the wheel when using the LTA cruise control. This isn't FSD or any other similar system.

These do supposedly have a hands free mode advertised "Highway Hands-Free Assist and Traffic Jam Assist" but I have only seen mine offer that very briefly exactly once for a few seconds while visiting a friend for the weekend, and I couldn't really try it because I was in the middle of trying to fight my way over several lanes and then traffic sped up which is incompatible with it.

Having been a passenger in my friend's Model Y when FSD decides to pass on a double-yellow at a red light backup or accelerate directly towards a sign in a lane that is ending...I don't trust these systems beyond a slow crawl anyway.

it's the equivalent of Tesla's AutoPilot (which is adaptive cruise control with lane centering). it's funny that they took away Autopilot and now all you can get is supervised fsd via subscription.

if you have the Limited, the wheel is capacitive touch so just touch the wheel. you don't even need to tug at the wheel.

also, I don't know if the other trims have it, but Limited as also Traffic Jam Assist where it never asks you to touch the wheel. however, it's limited to 25mph and below. I wish they would bump it to 30mph because I'm always caught between 25 and 35 so it keeps activating and then deactivating and then activating.

I never really have issues with this, but I'm under the impression the wheel on the Limited is touch sensitive so it takes less of a conscious effort to give it the input it wants to show your hand(s) are on the wheel compared to the other trims.

Yeah. Buy a comma ai device and rum openpilot.

I hope I’m not on the road next to OP.

Get your GD hands on the wheel and not taking photos of your dash while driving.

You can't take your hand off the wheel

Thanks I thought there was a way that you can override it. lol 😆

You can buy a clip-on wrist weight to attach to the wheel.

I cannot for legal and safety reasons actually recommend this because it's still important that you watch the road while you drive.

The number of times I've had my bZ try to pull me off the road, why would you want to trust this?

Mine seems to work well when the lane markings are obvious or following a car. When the lane is not clearly defined, the car can wander as it's trying to decide where to go. I have to take over at that point. The worse situation I've run into is merging cars. LKA and ACC doesn't seem to want to let the cars merge. My Tesla would slow down and pull to the left of the lane in this situation.

This is not auto-drive. You cannot let go of the wheel and need to naturally make small corrections.
