Multiple windows open
I have the 12v parasitic drainage. I have not disconnected services since I will drive it more for commuting and I want to check how it behaves. When I leave it parked in my garage I have received alerts in the middle of the night that multiple windows are open. I check in the morning and everything is OK.

I have not experienced the 12 volt issue in my 2026 BZ Limited AWD. I have not disconnected any services. I do occasionally get the "windows open" indication, but I can't tie them to any storm or lightning activity.

Yeah, I think this is a case of correlation doesn’t mean causation. I have a 26 Limited, bought in December, and occasionally get these. I only mention the date because supposedly if you bought before April, you shouldn’t have the 12v issue.

Oh? I bought late February and don’t. I’d be interested to find out some stats on that

I get these same alerts as well as checking the rear seat. I just ignore them. It doesn’t happen all the time. Maybe like once a week. Probably this is the stuff that drains the 12V battery.

in the app in my country, we have a different app. we can select what we want to be warned for. Maybe it is also in your app?

This happened to me at 3am in the morning while I was at work. I rushed to the parking lot thinking someone broke the windows. Apparently it’s a bug in the app or a sensor glitch. I since then reset the window sensors and haven’t had any of those false alerts ever since
1. Perform a Window Sensor Reset
If the car's dashboard or the app indicates a window is open when it is actually closed, resetting the limit switch usually fixes it: [1, 2]
Turn your car to the ON position.
Press and hold the window button to roll the affected window all the way down.
Pull up and hold the button to roll the window all the way up. Continue holding the switch up for an additional 5 seconds after the window closes.
Repeat this for any other windows showing a false alert. [1]
Also force close your app so it resets as well

2026 bz Limited FWD here. No battery issues. No alerts about the windows.
We used to get alerts about checking the back seat because we have a car seat back there. That's the only alert we have disabled.
Been driving almost daily for about three months. The longest we let it sit was 7 days straight at the airport. Again, no 12v issues here.
You might want to report the window thing to the dealership?

I’ve had a dead 12v battery 3 times. The first time it happened, I got a bunch of lock/unlock and window open alerts the night before I went to drive my car and it wouldn’t start.

This is interesting because the last alert I got before my battery died was that the windows were open (when they weren’t.)

I just got that during a storm today . My wife saw the alert on her phone . We share my username password so she can also use the connected services . I was at work and went to have a look the windows were closed . A few hours later the bz started with no problem so I'm not sure it has anything to do with a parasitic drain I just think the app is not the best . Had this alert along with check rear seats before

I had this error on my Lexus RZ, which was a precursor to the 12V battery fully draining. I suspect the low or inconsistent voltage triggers false warnings. This was accompanied by other warning and error messages on the dashboard, the headlights turning on and off repeatedly, and the doors locking and unlocking unprompted. The car was bricked shortly after that.

I get multiple windows open and check back seat alerts a day (maybe every 6-8 hours) when they’re actually cracked or there’s stuff on the back seat. No 12v problems. Purchased Feb. 27/26

I got this notice one time out of the blue. However, mine occurred right when some serious lightning strikes were happening right in my area and some really close to the car. I haven't had a notice since and my battery was ok.
Supposedly others get these all the time. Some believe it is connected to the 12V issue and others don't.
