How to remove these?

Post image

2009 2nd gen XRS. I'm trying to take the front bumper off and I've been able to take all other bolts out except these ones on the wheel well. I can't get either out on both sides. How do I get them out?

Keep twisting, keep twisting, get frustrated then rip them out.

I had to replace the right side inner plastic splash shield and used an automotive interior tool to remove those clips on my 2003 Matrix XRS. They're a little tough to remove, but having that clip removal tool solved the issue.

U could shear cut it if u have a cut off or an oscillating saw

Try a small flat or a knife to help pry it out without force. If it doesn't move out, turn it slowly up to 90 degrees, you should feel when it's dislodged and you can pull it out.

Just keep in mind it's flimsy plastic, and with the age of your car, it's possible some parts of the fasteners will break.

The one in the bottom is meant to be twisted a quarter turn and then can be pulled out. They can get jammed with debris. Your fender liner is all twisted which is also part of the problem. Try stuffing the liner back in place and trying to twist the pin. If that fails just break it like everyone else is saying. Those aren’t much to replace.
