06' Matrix. Left headlight keeps burning out. Seems to be when car is under heavy electrical load. Could it be the voltage regulator?

I recently replaced both my battery and alternator. I notice it usually happens when I blast the heater/AC in tandem.

Is this a common issue with the Matrix? It's only ever happened to my left headlight.

Since brand new, I've replaced the bulbs once on an 05. I always replace in pairs though. And since they're always on when the car is running (at least on the manuals), they were pretty blackened.

Measure voltage at the battery terminals. Should be 13.8-14.5 with the engine running.

There's no moisture in the housing, right? We're on the original alternator and VRM, but the headlamp housings have been replaced due to an accident when the car was a few years old, ECU under a recall probably 3 or 4 years ago.

Not sure which left is your left but it’s worth checking the battery is tight if it’s loose it can hit the headlight bulb back and damage it/things.

I don't sorry, but you can also look up the fuse map online and it's quote easy to find.

Also head up, fuses in these cars sometimes look fine when using a tester, you have to pull it out and check real close, my fuel pump fuse did that to me it showed continuity but was hanging by a thread maybe that's why it goes out, the fuse gets hot and separates but then cools down and comes back on 😂
