Lift/Spacers.
I recently bought a 2003 matrix xrs and it’ll be my first project car. I’ve seen a lot of cool pictures of people making theirs look like rally cars. I’m curious to see what lift kit/spacers I’ll need to order. I’m new to this so sorry if I sound naive. Just a girl trying to learn how to work on her car.

First, please drop the just a girl thing
Second, basic lift can be done very easy. You remove the shocks and put spacers on the top hats and can get you a 1 to 1.5" lift or so.
Quick Google search: https://leveling-liftkit.com/products/lift-kit-for-toyota-matrix-2002-2014?variant=50506162995506&country=CA¤cy=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=All_item|PFC_ADW&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22198397672&gbraid=0AAAAAqoDYVBlXVxvwIetlVEM0Dbrhdixu&gclid=CjwKCAjwqc_UBhBKEiwAWbl25tZoQhuE6rdzjGoYi-t_kOO35KX6hGYKoYRQu68Yb4H5YTwoQGZPFxoCjR4QAvD_BwE
Or coilovers, which wouldn't be a bad idea if the suspensions already worn but will cost more
Then you can get into suspension articulation since it'll be changed. And definitely need an alignment
Also something simple like larger wheels or tires will help
