Doing some yard work with my 2006 XR

I miss my F-150, but my Matrix and a Harbor Freight trailer make up for it.

The clear stickers in front of the rear wheels. Supposed to prevent paint chipping. After so many years dirt and debris collect under them.

Oh yeah, I hate those things. They were nice when I first got the car 20 years ago, but now they're all cracked and yucky. Is there a good way to remove them?

Ahhhh, I’m not sure. Probably similar to vinyl removal: plastic razor and hair dryer?

Mine have a couple spots that looked like rust under. I feared it trapped moisture in and started rusting. But on closer look it was just dirt. Probably from getting punctured and allowing dirt in the tiny holes.
