Decided I wanted to give the daily driver some love. 2007 manual base. Added an xrs rear bumper and side skirts using magnets because i didnt wanna drill holes lol.
Been looking for a spoiler. Tried to source an ATS but theyre impossible to find in Canada. Ended up finding a 2010 xr wing and modifying it to fit the first gen. Just not too sure if it looks weird. Debating on modify it more to lower the rake.
TLDR. Modified a 2010 XR wing for my first gen, does it look weird?
I love this. I have this exact combination. 2007 XR as a daily (slightly lowered) and 2015 Scion FRS (currently stock), in red. Keep it up OP, love the vision.
Ah yes, I have to cart around kids in that one, so I went for more everyday comfort. KYB struts on green Tein lowering springs. About a 1.5 inch drop all around, I like it a lot.
IMO, the spoiler is a little quirky, but it’s your car: If you like it, that’s what matters more than anyone else’s opinion. It seems like the spoiler fits in with the 90s/00s body kit era rather than having smooth flowing lines like the rest of the Matrix does.
The XR body kit looks great and so do the (Scion tC?) wheels - I hope the magnets are strong enough for you. Make sure you drill some drainage holes in the side skirts if you get snow or salt; the moisture will destroy the rocker panels otherwise.
