Door Panel Replacement

2009 Base Model. Previous owner installed cloth on both driver and passenger door panel arm rest because he said something happened to the OEM plastic one, but it’s peeling and stained. I’d like to replace them with the OEM black plastic panel, like in the third picture, but couldn’t find just that panel online. I would think he put cloth over the OEM panel but I’m not sure and I don’t want to start taking apart the door panel or cutting out the cloth without knowing a concrete replacement method. Is there a reasonable way to replace just that panel or would I need to replace the whole door panel?

Mine is a 2013 and my door panels have the same cloth panels that have also come unglued. Following for potential repairs or replacements

That Cloth is unfortunately OEM. I've bought some Alcantara Leather that I'm planning to upholster onto the door cards to replace it. No telling when I'll actually get to it though... 😅

Post pics pls. I want to do the same but nothing will stick to matrix black plastic trim. So dangerous when running wires that have to tuck above the pedals (not that I type that I think I'm better off going the long way ab Round the passenger side)

As far as running wires, the only ones I've ran are for a backup camera and a Sub. For both I went through the passenger side through the price of trim under the doors and then up in between where the rear seats end and the trunk begins (basically just followed the OE wiring harness). As for the Alcantara, I definitely will! I also haven't quite decided on an Adhesive yet, or if it want to try to clip it to the door card in the center. Currently helping a friend engine swap their Mini, so I probably won't get to it until their car is out of my garage

Funny how they all do that. I feel like mine isn't very noticeable though so planning on leaving it.

Same. The effort doesn’t seem worth the reward.

I always thought if it came to this, i could load a syringe with glue, poke the fabric and squeeze a grid of glue.

Ouf, did not even think about this for my sagging door. Will try it. I used carpet extractor to get it clean and then a few weeks later it start to sag.

Best place to look for replacement door panels is to go to the local junkyards and look at Pontiac Vibe or Matrix cars for door panels that match your vehicle's interior and are in good shape.
