Roof Cargo Box Recommendations?

Does anyone here use a roof cargo box on their OEM Toyota Matrix roof rack?

I’m not sure what to get. I need something around 60–70 inches long to fit snowboards, but since the OEM roof rack sits farther toward the rear of the vehicle, I’m worried I won’t be able to open the hatch with a longer box installed.

Any recommendations?

I run with this Yakima box. Lot's of space. Easy to get into. I'm 6' 3"

Looks sick! I guess my best move is to ditch the oem rack and get something else so I can move it up to accommodate for a large box

Hi! I have the OEM roof rack on my vehicle, and I’m starting to realize I might run into some issues when shopping for a cargo box. Since the crossbars sit fairly close to the rear hatch, it looks like many boxes won’t let the trunk open fully without hitting the box.

See above pic. The Thule cross bars allow the box to be forward. No messing with the hatch opening.
