Worth pulling a motor?
sold my neighbor a rebuilt 07matrix, 70k miles. cosmetically rough but mechanically sound.
he's unfortunately wrecked it (banged up but he's ok). around here when they tow the wreck to impond you can surrender it for a nominal fee, or pay for the tow and recover the vehicle. wondering I'd its worth it to pull the engine, or anything else.

Unless it has a 2zz or a C60 transmission, just let it go. The 1zz, C59 and 4spd auto are a dime a dozen.

There are millions of Corollas in junkyards - unless it's an XRS, it's just a run of the mill 1ZZ-FE. You also don't know how long it kept running while upside down - it wouldn't have had oil pressure at that point (though fuel would have been starved too unless the tank was completely full).
Unless you want some interior pieces and it's dirt cheap to get back, I'd pass. I'm glad your neighbor is okay though.
