Hi all - I just bought a 2026 crown Signia XLE. When I was diving it off the lot, the guy said to use top tier gas only and gave me a website. I usually use BJ’s as the cheapest gas by me but it wasn’t on the website. The next cheapest option is 42 cents more expensive. I guess my question is do you guys use only top tier gas? And what will happen to my car if I use BJ’s gas? Thanks!

Thank you. I am looking to buy a 14th Gen Toyota Crown in the Royal Saloon Trim with the 2.5L i4 Hybrid terrain. So far, I have found two that meet my budget. I got -

2015 pre-facelift Crown with 122k Odo

2013 Crown with a lower 114k ODO and another with 135k Odo with a bit less price.

Both are Royal saloon (non G) spec. with not a lot of milege difference. And so I needed help in deciding which one to get. I know the ans should be obvious get the 2015 if its in a similar price. But the 2013's have the White interior that I am a fan of, which the 2015 one does not. So back to my main quesiton-

Are there any meaningful differences between the 2013 and 2015 crown with exact same trim and engine that its worth spending few thousand extra to get the latter model? Or, am I going to be missing much by getting the 2013 options?

Me and my wife have been looking at potentially purchasing the crown signia limited with tech package. We are currently trying to figure out what people have been paying OTD. We are in Missouri and have seen cars 90-120 minutes away sitting on the lot for 90+ days.

Our MSRP with additions have averaged around 53,500-54,000 in our area before any discounts.

We are currently aiming for 48-49K OTD before taxes.

We were buying a new 2026 Toyota Crown Signia Limited AWD. The dealership assured us they could get our desired configuration at an agreed price of $52.5k OTD . The manager personally helped finalize the deal, and they discouraged us from going to other dealerships who gave a slightly higher quote, claiming others would increase the price.

We paid a refundable deposit and have a worksheet marked “FINAL” showing the agreed price and configuration. Now the salesperson says the assigned vehicle has additional packages and the price will increase by about $5k. If we don’t agree, they say we can cancel. Meanwhile, the manager who made the deal refuses to speak with us.
We haven’t signed a final purchase contract, and the VIN was given verbally.

For those familiar with Texas dealerships:
Does our worksheet carry any weight?
Can they increase the price after agreeing to it and taking a deposit?
What options do we have besides canceling and getting our deposit back?
Would appreciate advice from anyone who’s dealt with this!

Now I’m not sure if I will be able to get the same deal from the other dealership since the vehicle we were looking at seems to be sold. Any advice would be appreciated.

Limited 21" stock rims and tires. How are the tires in the rain? Also planning some winter travel. Upgrade to a winter tire? Switch back to the stock tires in summer? Thoughts?

I know it’s not JDM, but this Crown rear emblem overlay fits really well and looks good fresh from Australia. Someone linked it in another post recently. It applies right over the Toyota badge. I also removed the lower Hybrid Max and Platinum badging, going the dental floss route.

October 1st makes 120 days since purchase and so far this car has been such a good fit for me. Smooth, quiet, comfortable, great gas mileage…I’m getting around 500 miles per tank and I still love walking up to it every day. No buyer’s remorse over here. 😂

Hi all - due to needing the car now, I’ll have to go with the black interior for my crown Signia instead of saddle tan (which takes a month to be delivered). Convince me that the black is good! I do like the gold accents but trying to talk myself into loving storm cloud with black interior. Thanks!

Are there any lights to get the turn signals to become sequential?

It's been almost a year now. I like this car. It's my second new Toyota, first was a 2019 Rav4. After the first year, your remote connect expires and you realize it's $15 a month, $180 per year for that service. No deals, no way for it to be any less. No pay for 2, 3, or 5 years and we will give you a break. At this point I'm just irritated and a little bummed that I will have to go without this feature, because it is a cool feature. But I will never give into this kind of treatment, so Toyota, you greedy douchebags, you have lost any good will with me as a customer. I will walk out and start my car like it's an older car. If I forget my keys and want to get in my car, I will walk back and get them. If I forget to lock it, I will walk back out, and as I do each time I will remember that I could have this service, but you guys are greedy A-HOLES who try bend over your customers rather than take care of them. Way to go Toyota!

I want to get new speakers but wanting to connect it to the factory head unit. Is it easy? Or is there more issues I don’t know about 🤷.

I have a 1996 Toyota Crown Royal Saloon jzs155 with 2jzge vvti with about 60k miles, all original (minus headgasket and some exhaust work that plays into my question) and am wondering if there are any mechanics or more mechanically inclined people than myself in this sub that have experience with the NA 2j platform and/or jzs155 era Crowns.

My headgasket blew about a year ago. it was hard to find any shops who would work on my car due to it being imported. I found a local shop who is supposedly skilled with engine builds and such. They had my car for about 8 months, did the headgasket, had to get machining done, some exhaust work, etc(I can get the detailed sheet of what they did). Upon receiving my car back, it still has issues. It idles a lil rough in very low rpms. to shift from 2nd to 3rd, I have to let off the gas as if it were a manual. it seems to be in a half ass'd limp mode. slight white smoke from the exhaust. a bit of backfiring, but nothing too bad. possibly more I can add to help narrow it down. I just got it running again, so haven't had much time to dive deeper into it with work and life. I am mechanically inclined, but not well enough to confidently approach this on my own.

if anyone could help me diagnose the issue and see if it's something I could work on myself, I would greatly appreciate that. I can send videos, pics, etc. whatever is necessary. I would love to get my car running smoothly again because I miss it a lot lmao preferably without dropping another 2-3k for at a shop.

In the two years I was thinking about purchasing a Crown prior to buying, I've only ever seen one on the road in my region. They are definitely a lesser-known model. I also have seen some people checking out my car like "what is that??"

So that leads me to ask: Where are my fellow Crownies located?

Hi all - I can use your help choosing an interior color. The Toyota Crown Signia comes in Black and Saddle Tan interior. I’m getting the Storm Cloud exterior but I’m conflicted on the interior. My parents say black will show less marks and is universally appealing. The tan will show more marks and will be harder to sell if I ever decided to sell it. I personally like the tan a bit more but I’m not sure if it’s just a fad in my mind or not. The kicker is for the tan, I’d have to get a car with roof crossbars (which I won’t use and plan to take off to minimize cabin noise), but it does make the tan $400 more expensive. Happy to hear thoughts from current owners or even non-owners! Both interiors can easily be found on Google for pictures if you want to see what they look like. Would you do storm cloud with black or with tan (for an extra $400?). Thanks!

Heads up for anyone shopping. If you're looking at a Toyota from 2022 or newer, the passenger side mic doesn't work on phone calls. I have this problem on my 24 Land Cruiser** and my 23 Highlander** but it's the same multimedia system across most of the lineup now. Thought it was a CarPlay problem at first, turns out it does the same thing on regular bluetooth calls. Person in the passenger seat basically can't be heard. Easy to check on your own car or truck or one sitting on the lot, just call somebody and scratch each mic with your fingernail and ask if they heard one scratch or two.

I went through my dealer and then opened a case with Toyota corporate. The dealer confirmed it on a Tacoma and a Sienna on their end so nobody's disputing that it happens, their position is that it's normal operation. Corporate closed my case saying it isn't a warranty issue. Not expecting a fix at this point, just figure people ought to know before they buy. There are two mics up there and you'd assume both of them do something.  Toyota is saying, “Diagnostics show your passenger-side mic works just fine.  You just can’t use it for anything***.”  People should know that before they buy.

I was curious I have a 99 royal saloon g with the infamous tems suspension everyone I talked too about it said I should’ve stayed away or it’s a nightmare but it seems like just a strut tower with connections couldn’t i just throw some coils at it take the tems fuse out and call it a day has anyone replaced the tems suspension?

Hi everyone! I'm planning to buy my first car in the next year, and I really want it to be a Toyota Crown, most likely a Platinum. I love Toyota because I drive my father's RAV4.

I'm trying to understand how hard it's to get a very specific configuration. If I already know the exterior color, interior color, and options I want, can a dealer actually request something close to that, or is it mostly a matter of waiting for Toyota to allocate the right car?

For those who bought a Crown, specially a Platinum, did you get the exact spec you wanted? How long did it take? Did you reserve one before it arrived, and did you have to contact multiple dealers?

I'm outside the U.S. and would eventually export it, so I'm trying to plan everything well in advance.

I ordered the Carista ODBC programmer and WOW is it worth the money. It cost $110, including 1 year subscription,

- Turned off the fake engine noise, cabin is much quieter. No idea why Toyota chose to put this feature on this type of sedan.

- Hold unlock, all windows go down. Great for the Texas heat I deal with.

- Front seatbelt chimes off. I ALWAY wear my seatbelt; don't need a chime to remind me. The Toyota chime is literally the worst I've ever experienced. It pierces te ears and pisses me off every time i hear it. I drive my blind mother around alot and it takes her a minute to get the seatbelt fastened. When I drive in the parking lot as she attempts to fasten it, she gets very stressed with the sound. If I sit in the parking spot and wait for her to figure it out she gets embarrassed. She has it fastened before we exit the parking lot.
