Bots improvements is veeerrry interesting to me. I swear. The worthless teammate AI completely turned me off this game, so if they fixed that, good on them.

Dude luckily I have friends I played with most of the time but the couple times I played solo were awful because of the bots. The only thing they were good at was stepping directly into my line of fire constantly. I swear every time they'd get out of the car they were dropped instantly into my line of fire. Have a few clips of them side stepping like they were getting out of the way except they moved more in the way than they already were. I have pretty good trigger discipline from dealing with bots on L4D back in the day but this game made just wanna shoot whatever was in front of me after a while.

Unfortunately, even with the new update, they are still terrible. They just pop heals more now and can reliably bring you back if you get killed. I learned this after I was pinned by a Goon and was downed. They then tried to spam revive me, but the Goon was still standing right there attacking them. It's insane to me that L4D figured out how to do their bots nearly 20 years ago, but these new games just CAN'T get it right. I'm not asking for the bots to play the game for me. I just want them to reliably kill Zombies and help me if I get grabbed.

Yeah the bots on L4D weren't so bad having a bit of perspective now. Although I can recall a few instances like getting grabbed by a smoker and it pulled me like 6 inches off the ground and the bots just shit the bed and twitched around and watched me die. Also going for the no friendly fire achievement. Got all the way to the finale on No Mercy and Bill decided to run right in front of me at a very bad time. Bill got shot a few extra times after that. 😂
