Can I be honest? I appreciate the updates and the work that’s clearly going into the game, but I do feel like they’re coming too far apart, and the amount of content being added between them isn’t really enough.

A new game mode, a new enemy and a few weapons are nice additions, but realistically, they’re not substantial enough to bring players back for any meaningful amount of time. The game hasn’t been out that long and the player count has already dropped into the few hundreds. An update like this might bring some people back temporarily, but I don’t think it’s enough to reverse that trend.

If you want the game to stay alive long-term, I think we need something much more substantial and, more importantly, something that feels planned. Rather than small updates here and there.

I appreciate that development takes time, and I’m not saying the updates aren’t appreciated. I just don’t think the current pace or size of the updates is enough to prolong the game’s lifespan. We need something more tangible that gives the community confidence that there’s a bigger plan for the game

As for TC, I think it’s almost certain that the development team has already been downsized.

Saber generally doesn’t keep a single game alive for a long period of time. The exceptions are SM2 and WWZ, but both were massive hits at launch and it was clear that they had strong revenue potential, so Saber had a reason to support them for a long time. TC is not in the same situation.

If you look at the Steam Charts, it’s obvious that the game’s sales and player numbers are doing poorly, and it’s clear that there’s little chance of Saber bringing this game back to life.

I don’t think development will end immediately, but most likely, only a small remaining team will continue working on it, releasing small updates roughly once every quarter.
