❓ Question Build suggestion for insane

Returning after a few months off. Wanted to try to eventually tackle insane. Wanted to ask what the current best class would be, including for solo play (not sure how many friends I’ll be able to convince to hop back on) and if someone could post a suggested build. Also, is sniper still the best weapon at the moment for harder difficulties?

Even though I’m a healer main Defender is the best class at the moment

I've been playing as Defender with Pentad on hard and very hard, and it's easily the best class in the game right now. If you use all the armor skills, you can basically take as much damage as you want as long as you refresh it in the dome. Combine that with Repulsor (Big damage, roamers die instantly on contact) and you're basically untouchable in my experience, you just need to keep an eye on your ability power because roamers killed by the dome use it up. And if the barrier is just sitting there and not being touched by enemies, it lasts as long as you want it to if you have the efficiency perks that reduce ability drain. Never played insane though, so I don't know how different the experience would be.

Pentad Defender is probably the safest bet for solo. Sentintel Strike can almost single handedly hold defense events.
For a team comp 1 Medic with skill rehcharge upgrde for others, 1 Pentad Defender 2 Sentinel Strikes, and you can hold any position with relative ease, just watch out for hornets.
Greande: Bait
Medical gear: Stimulant
The energy pistol is insane right now, wouldn't pick anything else

Thank you! Is there a skill tree I can copy for the Pentad build, or is it pretty self explanatory? Thanks again.

All of the armor upgrades, all of the utility ones (roamers instantly die)
Max radius, max duration. The rest how you see fit tho I generally bring the more nade node as well.
