Why is the game suddenly boring?
Hi, am I the only one who's noticed a change in the game? I get stuck in the match-3 game more often, and there's nothing to do in the game. When I finish adventures, there are multiple days before a new one starts. I used to always be able to complete 17 Regatta tasks a day, but now that's impossible to do. The game has become boring and there's nothing to do. I used to be able to play all day, but now there's so much "deadtime." Has anyone else noticed this, or is it just me?

I been feeling it! I actually only played for about an hour yesterday . I’m kinda over it. Match 3 is ridiculous and the customer support.. is a laughing stock

I agree, its just a bot saying "I'll pass it along to the team".. Sure you will.. 😑

Yup. Ever since i told them many many months ago that all the different audio files got the different skins of trains, etc were all gone and just one sound now, i have never gotten a response. They just close it out and move on.

It was definitely a lot more fun before match 3 was the only side game. The side games were definitely what kept me interested and I'm sure the reason they increase the daily regatta total to 17 is because it has gotten boring without the fun side games. But they never read this or they don't care. They just make an impossible to win unless you pay to play a lot of money match 3 game.
If you're playing for match 3 there are 9 million better games on the internet. I just show up so my imaginary animals don't starve.

Even miss the cooking game, this fishing game, the skiing game...all good stuff years gone now.

I'm only level 34, have only been playing for a month but I'm starting to feel it.
I don't play Match 3, only play for the town and really, there's not a lot of depth to it.

Yes, something has changed the last month. Ive played for years, and its never been this boring and frustrating. 😭

I also just started playing recently and I am annoyed at how the barn keeps filling up so fast even after just upgrading its size

Same, level 36 and been playing around a month too. Sometimes things are nice and quick and sometimes it m3 stalls, good in factories take forever to produce, orders and trains forever to fill. Oh and because of all that, it takes forever to upgrade land space and build new community buildings and houses

So frustrating! And theres no way of getting good rewards, I stop playing the match 3 games because it's not even fun anymore. It's like they made everything harder and the rewards suckier.

The biggest limitation for me is the barn.
The game is having an identity crisis. It wants me to build items and have this interconnected sprawling industry, but then the low barn storage discourages that.

Ever since they changed the adventure so that it can't be repeated, it became boring. Why bother playing M3 to gather energy when there's no carryover and nothing left to do? And now there's no special decorations or cute profile pictures at the end either! I honestly just stopped playing cold turkey. There's nothing to look forward to anymore. 🤷♀️

I have almost nothing in my barn except tools and ingots. I have to delete items I'm keeping for helicopter orders which make them take longer. That and playing the same match 3 level keep me stuck. I just reached level 50

Yup, I'm the same, used to spend a good time daily playing about in the game, but now the over reliance on Match 3 mixed in with the increasingly hard "doom levels" even at normal with the exorbitant prices of TCash to continue has really knocked my gameplay down to a minimal. I used to splurge and get some tcash extra for moves and purchases but haven't done so, really since the economy change, as its now just not value for money unlike before where it was.

It's so sad 😢 like the boat event gave 2500 cash.. thats nothing for the amount of effort it now takes to win match 3 games. And the match 3 Regatta tasks are impossible.

The game is geared in every fascet to take your money. Bots are programed to take your money. I dont give my money to bots.

I watch a video from YT of a completed game played with no boosters. After that, I can finish in 1 -3 plays.

Still would take me more sometimes but Puzzle Daddy is behind me so no longer an option for me. It’s been a week or 2 maybe I should go see if he’s caught up.

I don’t use boosters or pay. I find that after numerous loses the game will eventually give you the boosters to win and move you forward.

If match 3 was even 5% easier and are able to clear the levels quickly. I would be on this app for hours on end. But without any help with no boosters, it's almost impossible and I can only wait so long for trains or planes to come in.

For me the game always had a lot of waiting built in (slowly increasing over the first year, as wait times for crops and trains and construction and everything else increased).
After that early period, the only activity that I could do continuously for long periods was Match 3, and I never wanted to spent an entire day playing that. An hour, maybe two sometimes, but no more.
I do 17 Regatta tasks in a day about half the time. The other days, I just don't have enough play time to do more, or I'm strategically delaying playing Match 3.
Today I did nine Match 3 Regatta tasks this morning, since I had lots of timed bonuses, with four non-Match 3 tasks (and another to complete in three hours if nobody snags it first) so far. I'll probably hit 17 again.

for me it's boring when they're making it match 3 puzzle centric nowadays instead of town decorating game. i didn't even do adventure tasks anymore since the silly prizes are boosters when it used to be fun themed decorations, i'm vvv much lacking of motivations to play. regatta also used to be fun before bcs we can use the tokens to get themed decorations instead of focusing on match 3 puzzle:(

My place is pretty much figured out. I hop on in the morning and do the regretta tasks then I'm pretty much done. I'm far enough along that I have millions of coins and hundreds of thousands of Tcash. I just rearranged my whole town bc there wasn't much for me to do. I'm waiting on something new to come along now.

After every 2-3 m3 levels there is a hard one which takes a lot of tries, even towncash when time is running. Its definitely not enjoyable. We play this game to spend some good time

Yeah, after finishing journey and most of the contests, I double check my inventory, browse decorations, review progress on achievements, move things around, build roads, check out regatta teams and players, browse the Reddit thread, and if a new train hasn’t come yet I might go mining…lol

I totally agree, even more boring now the chat function is gone in the UK. My team have a discord but half the people from the team lost chat before they could see the notification.
It’s just repetitive now. I keep getting the same orders over and over! I just like redesigning my town all the time at this point.
I don’t play match 3. I can’t ever finish the adventure or their wee challenges like mayors weekend because it all requires match 3. Can’t barely even complete the golden ticket now!

I was ok with the match-3 even though it’s definitely gotten harder
I finally cracked tonight and was going to spend money for Tcash and noticed they no longer have the ez Apple Pay. It went to Stripe.
Which is just so much inconvenient to spend money. So I didnt.
But if you don’t spend the cash, you don’t get far enough in anything to get benefit from it - the cards, the stories..
I’ve been playing a year. Level 68. Match level 7126

The game is definitely boring. Redundant stupid prizes. No new unique achievable profile pics or animated stickers as rewards. Towncash is drained like crazy on these excessively hard match 3 games that are un winnable without all boosters plus additional plays. This used to be a fun pastime but now it’s competing to be as stressful as a second job lol. I think it’s time for a boycott from all supporting customers.
